13 6. SUMMARY OF CURRENT ACTIONS POD Set-up commenced at 1430 hours on Friday, September 12 and concluded at 1920 hours. A total of 69 vaccinations were administered. Initially, the center POD lanes were not set up. After evaluation of the anticipated effectiveness of adding the center lane, the POD layout was reconfigured at approximately 1830 hours. This operational period will begin with the center lanes operational on both the Fast Track side and the Slow Track side. As a potential contingent, the center lane on the Fast side would only be staffed with 1 nurse. Cars with only drivers would then be directed to Lane 1, and cars with passengers would be directed to lane 2. Significant reductions in vaccination stations will be necessary as there are insufficient numbers of vaccinators scheduled. The evaluation form will be handed out by the POD Flow Controller, and he/she will also inform the vaccinees that a 10 minute post-vaccination wait will be required prior to release. Evaluation forms will be collected as the vehicles pass the exit point, and the goody bags will be given to participants at this time. As rain is anticipated for the duration of the operational period, all forms will be handed out and collected under shelter so that they stay dry and can be properly scanned following the event. The media staging point will be relocated to the outside of the Highway building instead of the area near the fuel pumps. The PIO anticipates media arrival at approximately 1030 hours.
