45 Call for Application (1/3): The 11 th AP Young Research Awards The IEEE ComSoc AP Young Researcher Award honors young researchers who have been very active in IEEE ComSoc publications and conference activities over the last 3 years (Jan to Dec ). Eligibility: Age 35 or younger (i.e., born on or after 1980/01/01) Member of the IEEE ComSoc Asia-Pacific region. Award Prize: ONE Best YRA with a certificate and US $500 and SEVERAL Outstanding YRAs with a certificate and US $250.
46 Call for Application (2/3): The 11 th AP Young Research Awards Application should include: A cover page that contains the applicant's name, affiliation, mailing address, telephone, fax number, and address. The applicant s biography (up to 400 words). Description of the applicant s major research contributions over the last 3 years, including clear discussions of 3 most representative publications (e.g., journal/conference/magazine papers and monographs) published over the last 3 years. For each publication, please provide SCI and Google citation information, impact factor (if applicable), significance of the publication, and the applicant s own contribution to the publication (up to 2 A4 pages). Eligibility: Appeared in IEEE ComSoc journals, magazines, conference proceedings, and so on (including those technically co-sponsored by ComSoc). All authors affiliations must be from the AP region. Nominated by IEEE ComSoc AP region members (not selfnomination). Award Prize: Plaque and honorarium up to US $500.

71 Reduction in Number of Members in AP Region from Dec to Dec.2015 Overally, the number of members reduces in all countries from Dec to Dec In particular, the reduction in India is drastic. The reason may be the recent worldwide economic recess and the quite mature communication technologies. Further study is required. Need to set up new chapters/councils in Korea, China, and Pakistan Need to admit more student ComSoc members who are potential researchers, technologists, and educators in the communication field.
