13 MTCnovo Helping men and women in the United Kingdom Successfully Transition from Prison Much like the work we do in correctional facilities in the United States, MTCnovo, a partnership between MTC and Amey, helps people who are trying to make the challenging transition from prison life back to society. In 2017 MTCnovo made an impact on: 27,000 incarcerated men and women, probationers, and parolees who received services to help them succeed in society after release from prison 1,000 staff who are dedicated to the rehabilitation of incarcerated men and women, probationers, and parolees in the United Kingdom 100 youth who are protected and rehabilitated at our secure training center MTCnovo Locations in 2017 While being at Rainsbrook, I have managed to look back at my offending behavior and realized what I did was wrong and I hurt people. This wasn t just the victim of my offence as I also hurt my family as well. I know I am going to have to change from my old behavior because my brothers look up to me. Former trainee - Rainsbrook Secure Training Center United Kingdom MTCnovo London, Thames Valley, and Rainsbrook Service Areas I am not the person I used to be. My biggest achievement since being at Rainsbrook is being able to manage my emotions which was one of my biggest problems before I came here. Former trainee - Rainsbrook Secure Training Center I have seen the impact that me being in custody has had on my family, and I would love to show them how I have changed and matured. I am now confident in my ability to cope well in difficult situations, and when I leave I want to go to college to complete a mechanics course. Former trainee - Rainsbrook Secure Training Center

15 g So [MTC-operated] Idaho CAPP has been a partner of the Idaho Department of Correction for the past seven years, and, I can tell you, from day one we ve had a fantastic partnership with the CAPP facility, their administration, their staff...i don t think we could be happier today than we are with that strong partnership with MTC and CAPP Idaho. Henry Atencio Director, Idaho Department of Correction g g When you re looking at the detainees they re smiling, they don t look like they re suffering. They look like they re happy. It s just a different feel here [MTC-operated Imperial Regional Detention Center]. I ve walked through many different detention centers in my field and in my tenure of this field, and this is probably the best detention center that I ve ever walked through. Just the passion that you feel walking through it. It screams I m trauma-informed, and I genuinely care about the people here. Stacy Phillips Department of Justice/Office for Victims of Crime
