16 Declaraton to address the urgent need for culturally competent health professionals in an increasingly diverse world In light of the current refugee crisis: We, the members of the C2ME (Culturally Competent in the Medical Educaton) consortum, which comprises representaties from 13 health professional schools across 12 countries, are urgently calling for acton to: strengthen the specifc knowledge, attudes and skills that are essental for health professionals to serie the health needs of diierse populatons, including migrants and refugees, ensure that healthcare practce is consistent with principles of health equity and social justce.
