It is intended to provide cardiology trainees and related health care professionals with a strong introduction to advanced device therapy by covering core knowledge elements of the national curriculum with particular emphasis on cardiac resynchronisation therapy. 2 Invitation We are pleased to invite you to the Liverpool Live CRT course. This BCS approved course is targeted at consultants, advanced device trainees, senior cardiac physiologists and specialist arrhythmia nurses. It is intended to provide cardiology trainees and related health care professionals with a strong introduction to advanced device therapy by covering core knowledge elements of the national curriculum with particular emphasis on cardiac resynchronisation therapy. This will be achieved by a combination of 3 live cases run by a distinguished faculty and interactive discussion on important aspects of CRT. To this effect, you are welcome to bring along an interesting case for discussion. Topics covered will include: Live case CRT-P/ CRT-D implants Pre-recorded cases to illustrate specific issues, for the more advanced implanters Basic programming post implant to maximise response Technology update and overview of specific features to increase CRT delivery Anatomy of the coronary sinus The role of optimisation of CRT devices Alternative approaches to LV lead placement By the end of the course, attendees should have an understanding of: 1. Device indications and patient - tailored device choice 2. Implant techniques including access, lead positioning and cardiac vein choices 3. Troubleshooting and decision making during the implant procedure 4. Appropriate device programming and need for optimisation in selected cases 5.
