This contract is available to NHS trusts who are members of NOE CPC and the LPP trusts whom assisted in the procurement process. These products are available for an initial period of 36 months from 1st June 2014 to 31st May This may be extended for a further period of 1 x 12 months. The products listed are the result of a restricted tender procedure. Further information on this contract and all other NOE CPC contracts are available online at
4 Background to project NOE CPC has retendered for this new framework which replaces the former framework for the provision of Radiopharmaceuticals. NHS CPC had an historic radiopharmaceuticals framework which was due to end 31st March The existing framework which had been extended to cover trusts within the Yorkshire and the Humber region and had appeared to have worked extremely well. Trusts had expressed a desire for the replacement framework contract to be put in place from the end of the current contract which offered fair pricing and innovation. The replacement framework would also include the provision of FDG for the use in PET. The sourcing process The Sourcing Group consisted of Consultant Medical Physicists, Heads of Nuclear Medicine, Business Managers as well as purchasing professionals whom together have evaluated the specification and the tenders received to ensure that only the highest quality service and supply will be delivered via this framework.
5 Benefits for your trust Value for money The robust restricted tendering process has ensured that the NHS North of England Commercial Procurement collaborative has a reliable, flexible framework which is responsive to its customer s needs. The suppliers have unique products that enhance patient care and meet the ever increasing demands of healthcare professionals. All pricing is fixed for the initial 3 years of the framework. (FDG 2 years) Market testing Through participating in this contract trusts can demonstrate that they have robustly market tested this key area. Offers trusts a one-stop-shop Trusts ultimately have access to all suppliers and media within the framework and can opt to use any product during the life of the contract giving clinicians choice and flexibility to choose from the largest range of radiopharmacutical products & consumables suppliers in the UK Cost saving opportunities Through preferential framework call-off and further competition prices. Contract management On-going central support of NOE CPC will be provided to all involved stakeholders throughout the life of this framework. Framework includes: Generators Dry Kits Radiopharmaceuticals Therapy Capsules PET Generator accessories, secondary shielding, elution tools, saline, vials and returns paperwork provided FOC ( 7k worth of accessories FOC with each generator) Specific dedicated account managers Guaranteed service and support.
