4 GUIDELINES: 1. Provisional registration with AP State Medical Council is compulsory for starting the internship training. 2. The internee must first report to the Head of the Department concerned and after receiving the unit postings from the HOD, the internee must report to the Unit Head. 3. Wearing of white coat (Apron) is compulsory during duty hours. 4. The skills to be learnt during posting are as prescribed by the Medical Council of India. 5. The interns have no authority to sign a death certificate or a medicolegal document. 6. The booklet provides proforma(s) in various specialities which indicate knowledge and skills to be acquired while undergoing that specific posting. 7. The record of performance should be verified by the Head of the Units, countersigned by the Head of the Department, immediately after the completion of the posting. 8. For Elective posting, indicate the dept. in the space provided. 9. Responsibility of safe custody of the booklet rests on the Intern. 10. All interns must obtain AHA certified BLS training certificate from State ITC Academic Coordinator, Guntur Medical College, Guntur during the period of their internship after undergoing training as per the schedule. 11. On completion of all postings (the total period of one year), the booklet is to be returned to the Academic Incharge / Coordinator, Internship Training Programme of the Institution for issue of the completion certificates. 12. During the period of Internship of one year, an intern may be allowed upto a maximum of 12 (Twelve only) days leave provided that he / she completes atleast 80% of prescribed period of training for each department. 13. The interns should reside in the hospital premises and be available to attend to call duty even after the days duty is done. 14. Interns will be given extension of posting for the period of their absence if they avail more than the prescribed days of leave. Completion certificate will be issued only on submission of this Record book. 4
