2 What is IMCP (Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership)? Major federal initiative to strengthen and accelerate the growth of U.S. manufacturing Collaboration of 11 federal agencies, coordinated by the Economic Development Administration (EDA) Designation granted to the Central Valley AgPlus Food and Beverage Manufacturing Consortium by EDA in July 2015; one of 24 consortia nationally The Designation lasts for 2 years.

4 Our Region More than 1,600 companies in the food and beverage manufacturing ecosystem in the 28-County Central Valley We are 1 of only 4 IMCP regions nationally that is focused on the food/beverage manufacturing industry

11 How the Process Works Six ecosystem workgroups: Review and advance the proposed strategies Identify additional/other strategies Help identify partners and craft regional proposals/applications (as appropriate) Vet proposals coming from regional partners Recommend proposals/applications to Steering Committee for designation

12 How the Process Works Steering Committee, comprised of Workgroup leads and Executive Committee: Provides guidance and support to workgroups Vets recommended proposals and applications from workgroups Recommends proposals/applications for designation, to Executive Committee

13 How the Process Works Executive Committee: Provides guidance and support to workgroups Convenes partners to develop competitive proposals Engages federal agency partners, other IMCP regions Determines eligible proposals/applications for designation Coordinates/administers the project overall

14 Our Charge Work together to ensure that our region s best proposals rise to the top and don t compete against one another Collaborate to develop shared regional projects or pilot projects that could be brought to scale regionally Track and report on progress/outcomes
