1 AMERCAN AssocATON OF UNvERsTY WOMEN NOY SCHOLARSHPS AVALABLE The Allentown Branch of the American Association of University Women has applications available for.itsyear 2007 NTERRUPTED STUDES GRANTS. Scholarships are given to womenwho reside in the Pennsylvania Lehigh Valley and wish to completestudies through higher education in Lehigh Valley area institutions. * 1. Scholarships are limited to those women whose studies have been interrupted at somepointfor at least six months. 2. Candidates must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an institution* at the time of application. 3. Financial need must be demonstrated. *Accredited two or four year college, advanced degree program, or vocational school. Applicants for an award must submit an application and two character references, and may be interviewed by the Community Awards Committee. Application Packets are available at most Lehigh Valley area college and university Financial Aid Offices. Applications must be received by March 1,2007. Prior recipients who have not yet completed their studies are eligible to reapply. A number of scholarships, with a minimum $500.00, will be awarded. Recipients will be notified by May 1,2007, for the school year. Funded by proceeds from the annual AAUW-Allentown Branch Book Sale.
