1 REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION To: From: Mayor & City Council Bob Wylie Date: October 7, 2014 Subject: Applicant Presentation: Agreement # with Impact Contractors for the demolition of the Park School. n/a Staff Presentation: Bob Wylie, Finance Director RECOMMENDATION: Approve agreement # with Impact Contractors, Inc. for the demolition of the Park School and authorize the Mayor to sign the agreement. BACKGROUND AND FINDINGS: Draper City released a Request for Bid (RFB) for the demolition of the Park School on August 19, Contractors specializing in property demolition were encouraged to submit a bid. Five bids were received for the project. The two lowest bids were incomplete and had to be rejected. Impact Contractors submitted the lowest qualified bid for $216,500. Impact Contractors is aware that this is a conditional agreement based upon the potential sale of the property which is stated in Section 3.2 of the agreement. Impact Contractors is prepared to proceed with the demolition in January 2015 if the property does not sale.
