6 How RSCA contributes to SJSU Priorities SJSU Washington Square STUDENT SUCCESS Better alignment with future employer needs Students have demonstrable experience A path for UG students to pursue graduate studies at CSU and/or other RI Universities GRADUATION RATES Paid student projects on campus with/without curricular credits enable students to graduate faster and without being distracted by stress of 2 or 3 jobs outside campus. Impact of RSCA on SJSU Priorities FACULTY SUCCESS Opportunities to pursue RSCA related activities (RTP) and contribute to creation of new knowledge base. Funding enables RT/OL for Faculty and an avenue for recognition and financial rewards. EXTRAMURAL FUNDING Student and Faculty RSCA, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial activities will help build regional and global Brand value for SJSU/CSU. RSCA aimed at community challenges will encourage philanthropic donor gifts as well. Will increase opportunities for funded partnership with other Universities, Industry, and PPP. 6
