1 2018 TD Green Streets Application Welcome to the 2018 TD Green Streets application! To complete this application, you will need: A general description of the project taking place, including the educational opportunities, project location, partners, proposed budget, timeline, and methods for measuring success The exact street address for the proposed project. (The site MUST be verified as a low- to moderate-income (LMI) area of the community according to the FFIEC Geocoding Mapping System ) Letter(s) of participation from any project partners outside of the municipality that will be collaborating to complete the project You can come back to an unfinished application at a later date by using the unique URL that has been ed to you. NOTE: All events must take place in a Low- to Moderate-Income (LMI) neighborhood. Although proposals for projects taking place in moderate-income neighborhoods will be accepted, preference will be given to those projects proposed for low-income neighborhoods. To confirm neighborhood eligibility, visit the FFIEC Geocoding/Mapping System. Type in the exact address with city, state, and zip code and then search. When the information comes up on the left, select Census Demographic Data. Look for the Tract Income Level. If it says Low or Moderate, you qualify. Program Timeline * Example of Project Milestones February 28, 2018: (If selected) Submit agreement and W9 to the Arbor Day Foundation. March 2018: Work with residents who will receive trees to organize planting event. March April 2018: Select trees at local nursery for the community tree planting event and recruit volunteers for the tree planting event. April 2018: Work with Branch Out Burlington! to organize and host spring TreeKeeper training event, open to all residents. April 2018: Tree planting event will be held on the last Saturday in April. In addition to the community tree planting, it will serve as an Arbor Day recognition event. May 2018: Outreach and educational materials designed by UVM students will be finalized, ordered and distributed. May 31, 2018: (If not holding spring event) Send notification to the Arbor Day Foundation and TD Bank about our summer/fall events. June August 2018: Support Branch Out Burlington! volunteer weeding events at the organization's community tree nursery, providing outreach and refreshments. June 2018: Hold a volunteer maintenance event (pruning, weeding beds, public outreach). July 2018: (If holding an event after May 1) Schedule a progress update call with the Arbor Day Foundation. August 2018: Hold a volunteer maintenance event (pruning, weeding beds, public outreach). September 2018: Hold a volunteer maintenance event (remove gatorbags and stakes, reapply mulch, prep for winter). September 2018: Work with Branch Out Burlington! to organize and host a fall TreeKeeper training event, open to all residents of Burlington. September November 2018: University of Vermont (UVM) students design public outreach materials and educational materials, edited by Branch Out Burlington! and City Arborist. November 30, 2018: Final Report is due to the Arbor Day Foundation. Payment from the Arbor Day Foundation will be distributed upon receipt of the final report. October December 2018: Evaluate success of the project and develop outreach materials to share the activities and impacts of the grant funding.
