Vendor Name Amount of Award Required Products and Services Brevard Zoo Second Amendment adds $1, for a new total of $53, Rental space of the Brevard Zoo lodge for family zoo day at the Brevard Zoo for students and families. DNC Parks & Resorts at KSC, Inc. $4, Four (4) family science nights. DISCUSSION: The 21 st Century Community Learning Center grants are state-administered, federally funded grants with 5 year cycles of renewal that support after school learning and enrichment. The Explorers University grant which serves approximately 280 students daily at Discovery, Harbor City, Jupiter, and Sunrise Elementary Schools is in its first year of operation. CONTRACT TERM: Brevard Zoo - The contract terms shall remain as stated in the original sales and services agreement, which will continue through June 30, 2013, with an option to renew annually for four additional one year periods. DNC Parks & Resorts at KSC, Inc. - The term of this agreement shall commence March 13, 2013 and continue through June 30, RECOMMENDATION: It is the recommendation of Mrs. Cyndi Van Meter, Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction, Mr. Jeff Arnott, Director of Adult/Community Education, and staff, to approve the attached second amendment and sales and services agreement for the 21 st Century Community Learning Center Explorers University Grant. 2 Brevan Public Schools THE FUTURE srace'coast T3T Contract# SSA# KR-A2 Approval Date: The School Board of Brevard County, Florida Second Amendment to Agreement- Explorers University THIS SECOND AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT ("Second Amendment") is by and between The School Board of Brevard County, Florida, (hereinafter "School Board"), whose address is 2700 Judge Fran Jamieson Way, Viera, Florida 32940, and Brevard Zoo, (hereinafter "Brevard Zoo"), whose address is 8225 N. Wickham Road, Melbourne FL WHEREAS, School Board and Contractor entered into that certain Agreement for Explorers University dated November 20, 2012; and WHEREAS, the parties desire to amend that Agreement with this document. NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto amend the Agreement as follows: 1. The Recitals in the WHEREAS clauses are incorporated by reference and made a part of this Agreement. 2. Section 1, Description of Services shall be amended to include the following services: a. Rental space of the Brevard Zoo lodge for Family Zoo Day at the Brevard Zoo for students and families ofthe 21st CCLC Explorers University programs at: Discovery, Jupiter, Harbor City and Sunrise Elementary. 3. Section 5, Compensation and Payment shall be amended to add $1, for the rental of the Brevard Zoo lodge, for a new fixed fee of $53, for Fiscal Year Except as herein expressly modified, the Agreement for Explorers University dated November 20 and the First Amendment dated February 12, 2013, 2012 shall otherwise remain in full force and effect, subject to all terms and conditions therein.
