3 Ticket Information: In September 2016, a probe was launched to gather the opinion of the TCSG colleges concerning proposed changes to several IDFC and ELTR courses. The probe closed in October The vast majority of colleges voted to approve the proposed changes without comment. The colleges that did not agree with the changes are below: Atlanta suggested some changes to programs that can be discussed and approved at the IFCC level. Wiregrass Georgia was not in favor of increasing the contact hours for ES12, Electrical Systems Diploma, but did not offer alternatives. All other colleges voted to approve without comment. Savannah was not in favor of the proposed changes of several programs. The primary objections were: 1. The proposed changes affected the financial aid opportunities for the programs. 2. The local Program Advisory Committee did not approve of the proposed changes. In virtually all of the comments, Savannah Technical College was currently moving away from the program in question or did not even offer it at all. Those colleges that did offer the programs did not disagree with the proposed changes. Based on the responses, the probe will be submitted to the November Presidents Council Academic Standards Committee with a recommendation to move forward. If approved, the proposed changes will be submitted to the December 2016 State Board for final approval. Outlined below are the proposed course changes, and probe comments, if any.
