1 CITY OF BULLHEAD CITY * COUNCIL COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: June 21, 2016 SUBJECT: Acceptance of Quit Claim Deed - Veterans Park Public Access DEPT OF ORIGIN: Public Works DATE SUBMITTED: June 13, 2016 SUBMITTED BY: Pawan Agrawal, Public Works Director SUMMARY: This item is for acceptance of a Quit Claim Deed from Owl and Peggy Braun, owners of Riviera Marina, in exchange for $5,000. This Quit Claim Deed is for a portion of the sidewalk between the American Legion property and Riviera Marina, which provides public access to Veterans Memorial Park. The American Legion had encroached onto a portion of the Riviera Marina property when the sidewalk was installed. Since that time, the City has gained ownership of the American Legion property and has had previous talks with the Braun's about obtaining the ownership of that portion of their property, but an agreement was never reached. Now with the improvements to the Clearwater parking lot, both parties have agreed to resolve this issue and have agreed on the amount of $5,000.
