3 Hello! Every year I loo forward to reporting bac to the community on how Nsight has supported the efforts of the many local organizations that wor tirelessly and fearlessly to improve the quality of life. Being able to provide valuable resources, whether it be fnancial support or providing in- ind donations of smartphones, lines of service, internet access or time, brings these dedicated organizations another step closer to continuing their wor and fulflling their important missions. This past year we were proud to partner with 626 unique programs and initiatives a 17-percent increase over Together we are feeding the hungry, providing shelter to the homeless, encouraging youth athletics, assisting families who are fghting cancer, and developing tomorrow s leaders. Alone this is a massive underta ing, but when local companies collaborate with nonprofts, anything is possible. At Nsight, we believe it is our responsibility to give bac to the communities we are privileged to serve. Our cover quote, The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our sense to grow sharper, captures the ey benefts of one of Nsight s most exciting community initiatives in When it comes to our corporate social responsibility, children and education are a top priority. Nsight infused $100,000 into virtual reality its for classrooms and we view this as an investment in our future. Putting VR its in the hands of passionate teachers and inquisitive students radically expanded the scope of learning. It gave classrooms the power to explore faraway lands, experience new adventures and understand concepts they had previously only read about. Smartphones are the gateway to virtual reality and ma ing this technology available for education is part of our commitment to the betterment of communities. Our signature event is the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon. In 2017 this event generated $133,745 for its three charity partners: ASPIRO, the Greater Green Bay YMCA Full Circle Program and Special Olympics Wisconsin Unifed Sports Program. Over the past 18 years, the marathon has donated over $1.36 million to local charities. Beyond this, the three-day marathon wee end has an estimated economic impact of more than $1.2 million in the greater Green Bay area. There are many ways to say it and many ways to do it, but the bottom line in supporting community organizations and their efforts is the same: It s all about sharing good. I invite you to learn more about Nsight s partnerships by reading the 2017 Community Impact Report. We re very excited to offer this report in video format for the frst time. Visit to get an even closer loo at how we are all wor ing together to positively impact our communities. Sincerely, Patric D. Riordan President & CEO Nsight Sharing Good

4 29 % of our contributions supported CHILDREN AND EDUCATION Virtual Reality Takes Students Virtually Anywhere After innovative teachers and curious students enthusiastically embraced the Virtual Reality (VR) its for Classroom program in the fall of 2016, Cellcom invested $100,000 to expand the wildly popular program in A total of 800 VR kits, which included loaned smartphones and free VR readers, were distributed to 39 schools across the company s service area. Students from elementary to high school had the opportunity to experience content in a hands-on, immersive and engaging manner. With the explosion of VR apps, the possibilities of where educators could go with their students and what they could do with virtual reality was limitless. Some students explored the International Space Station and the solar system. Others visited Aztec and Mayan ruins. History came alive as America expanded West. An underwater Galapagos expedition to explore the beautiful and amazing underwater plant and animal life was also a popular destination. Using the latest technology and smartphones to take learning to a whole new level was a perfect ft for Cellcom and the strategic partnership continued to grow as an augmented reality (AR) educational toy a hologram that could be held in students' hands was introduced late in the year for elementary schools. 39 SCHOOLS 800 VR KITS

5 Using the latest technology and smartphones took learning to a whole new level. Planting Seeds for the Future Recognizing that the future lies in the hands of our children, Nsight aligned with various organizations to inspire, motivate and cultivate the next generation of engineers, information technology professionals and other tech-savvy specialists. As part of the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce s Find Your nspiration event, Nsight team members from across the family of companies gave local eighth graders insight and an understanding of their areas of expertise, from radio frequency (RF) engineering to customer care to network transport to tech repair. Students had an opportunity to interact with professionals and receive career advice. As our reliance on technology continues to grow exponentially, the need for information technology (IT) professionals is also rapidly expanding. Based on current projections, the demand for IT professionals is outpacing the supply. Nsight donated time and services to the NEW T Alliance to help increase awareness of the growing technology talent gap by enlisting the support of area businesses and showcasing the vast career opportunities that exist within IT. An integral part of this project was creating videos in Nsight s new in-house video production studio. The videos were shared with local employers and students to pique interest in IT careers. the future lies in the HANDS OF OUR children Accolades for Accomplishments Nsight recognized the efforts and achievements of 24 aspiring high school seniors by awarding $20,700 in scholarships. Cellcom awarded a $750 scholarship to 16 graduating high school seniors from across its service area. Two Pulaski High School students received the 2017 Ray J. Riordan Scholarship. The $750 scholarships are offered by Nsight Telservices to recognize seniors who served as editors for the Pulaski News. Nsight Telservices awarded six $1,200 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. 24 Students + 24 Scholarships $20,700

6 41 % of our contributions supported HEALTH AND WELLNESS Cellcom Green Bay Marathon The 18th annual Cellcom Green Bay Marathon drew almost 12,000 participants, which included four distance events (full and half marathon and their corresponding relays), a 5 and the WPS ids Power Run. The three-day marathon weekend created an estimated economic impact of $1.2 million in the greater Green Bay area. Thousands of volunteers and Nsight employees shared their time and energy to ensure the marathon s participants and spectators once again received the world-class experience that the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is known for. In addition to serving as the title sponsor, Cellcom provided in-kind support to the event valued at $143,964. The impact of the marathon contin es long after the last r nner crosses the fnish line. Every year the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon generates funds for local nonprofts. In 2017 the event raised $133,745 for its three charity partners: ASP RO Greater Green Bay YMCA Full Circle Program Special Olympics Wisconsin Unifed Sports Program Community First Fox Cities Marathon Cellcom was proud to serve as the offcial technology partner for the Community First Fox Cities Marathon for the ninth consecutive year. 7 8 % of our contributions supported ENVIRONMENT Shawano Shoreline Improvement Project efforts and initiatives The Cellcom and Glas locations in Shawano are scenically situated on the Wolf River channel. In the fall of 2017, the companies and their employees took the initiative to restore their shoreline by returning it to a more natural state. Glas and Cellcom partnered with Shawano County Land Conservation Department to remove the invasive grass in the water and add a natural garden along the waters edge with native plants and mulch. This buffer was designed to slow runoff water and naturally flter it before allowing it to seep more gradually into the waterway. The native plants used have deeper roots, which will make the shoreline much more stable in the long term. In addition to being very functional, the shoreline improvement project is quite aesthetically appealing. Green Gift Awards Thirty-three local organizations dedicated to sustainability, the preservation of wildlife habitats or that provide an innovative educational approach to environmentalism received a Cellcom Green Gift in A total of $44,000 was awarded through the popular program. OVER THE PAST 8 years, Cellcom has awarded $262,675 IN GREEN GIFTS Cellcom s green cycle starts with consumers being environmentally conscious and donating their old and unwanted devices. The company sends the collected phones to recyclers who, in return, send money to Cellcom for the salvaged materials. Cellcom reinvests the funds generated from cell phone recycling by awarding Green Gifts. Nonproft organizations across the company s service area embrace the program and use the funding to continue their efforts as stewards of the environment. Over the past eight years, Cellcom has awarded $262,675 in Green Gifts. Recycling Responsibly Cellcom was proud to again host community recycling events. The events held in Manitowoc, Neenah and Plover brought in a total of 70,308 pounds of electronics and household appliances. Cellcom paid the associated fees for properly disposing of items such as televisions, computer monitors, CPUs, printers, small electronics and appliances to make it easier for consumers to divert materials from landflls. Recycling kept 70,308 pounds of electronics and household appliances out of landfills.
