3 Jennifer Wetzel Welcome to Future City Philadelphia! We are so excited for our regional competition. This is it! All the long months of planning, designing, writing, creating, and practicing have brought us here and we are ready! 2016 brought changes to the structure of the program to make it more like problems that engineers strive to solve every day. We hope all of the students involved learned about engineering using their 21st century skills and had some fun in the process. We are honored that we ve been able to reach over 10,000 students in the 20+ years of our program. Thanks to all of our sponsors and especially our partners at Archbishop Carroll High School for making this event a success. The members of the Steering Committee and I look forward to another great competition Future City Competition Philadelphia Region Schedule of Events 8:00 8:45 AM Team Registration and Model Set-up 8:45 AM Opening Announcement 9:00 12:00 Noon Preliminary Judging 9:00 12:00 Noon Special Awards Judging 12:00 1:15 PM Lunch 1:15 PM Announcement of Finalists 1:30 3:30 PM Final Judging: Oral Presentations, Questions from Judges 3:30 4:30 PM Awards Ceremony and Announcement of Regional Winning Teams Also, Thanks to our in-kind donations: Campbell Soup Co. - Juice MacIntosh Engineering - Student Giveaways Urban Engineers, Inc. - Program Design Wawa - Water #FutureCityPhilly
