Grants to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking on Campus Program PURPOSE OF THE WEBINAR To Detail the Changes in Technical Assistance Structure To Introduce the Technical Assistance Providers To Highlight Upcoming Information regarding New Grantee Orientation and Campus Institutes 7
Grants to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Dating Violence, and Stalking on Campus Program New Technical Assistance Structure 8
Technical Assistance For the past 10 years, the Campus Program provided training and technical assistance to grantees through a comprehensive model. While this format was informative, inspiring, and tailored to campus needs, OVW was informed via grantee notification, monitoring and site visits that grantees were finding it challenging to implement the strategies that were presented in the institutes and adequately contend with the minimum requirements of the Campus Program. 9
Technical Assistance Thus to better fulfill the complex needs of grantees, OVW is employing a coalition of specialized and targeted expertise to effectively meet grantee needs 10
Technical Assistance What does this mean for the current Technical Assistance Structure? Instead of having CALCASA as the sole provider of Campus Program Technical Assistance, grantees will have 4 TA Providers that will provide specialized expertise. This team of providers will now represent the Campus Program Technical Assistance Team 11
Technical Assistance Office On Violence Against Women California Coalition Against Sexual Assault (CALCASA) East Central University Kentucky Domestic Violence Association Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault 12
Technical Assistance Campus Program Technical Assistance Team Each Technical Assistance Provider will host a specialized Institute, provide ongoing support, and follow up with campus grantees as needed to include TA visits, webinars, etc. 13
Technical Assistance 14 Overall programmatic guidance and expertise: Office On Violence Against Women Coordinated Community Response: CALCASA Law Enforcement: East Central University Judicial Affairs: Mississippi Coalition Against Sexual Assault Mandatory Prevention and Education Program: Kentucky Domestic Violence Association
Technical Assistance The Role of CALCASA: Continue to host the Campus Program website and listserv Continue to be a resource for campus grantees Serve as the primary coordinator of the Campus Institutes Registration process 15

Campus Institutes Based on the training needs assessments, each grantee will be assigned an institute to attend based on the needs identified Individual grantees will send 3 people; Consortia and Flagship grantees will send 6 to 8 people. The selection of attendees will depend on the institute attending. 21
Campus Institutes Grantees will still attend 2 institutes a year (Jan. and June) for 2 yrs. In the third year, the grantees could select an institute or outside training that meets their specific needs as approved by OVW Grantees operating under a no cost extension are not required to attend, however, if you choose to attend then you must follow the program requirements for participation 22
What to Expect Training Assessments: Initially, grantees will receive an from OVW indicating the assigned institutes Grantees will later receive detail information from the specific TA provider regarding the Institute and the materials or assignments to complete prior to the training Campus Institutes: February 6-10, 2011 Location of Institutes will be given upon assignment 23
