2 Agenda AIAMD System Introduction And Architecture Test Methodology Test Schedule WSMR s Support Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) Program Support at WSMR Challenges/Concerns
3 Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense System (AIAMD) AIAMD integrates sensors and weapons and a common battle command across a single, Integrated Fire Control Network (IFCN). The common battle command element (IAMD Battle Command System or IBCS) provides the functional capabilities to control and manage the AIAMD sensors and weapons. As a SoS, AIAMD integrates Patriot, Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC), Sentinel, and other weapons systems and sensors currently under development to support engagement of AIAMD threats. Each AIAMD sensor /weapon platform will have a plug and fight interface module which provides distributed battle management functionality to enable network-centric operations. 3

21 21 IFPC Inc 2-I AIAMD Configuration Leverage Existing Mission Command (IBCS) All Command and Control received from AIAMD IBCS EOC
22 Challenges/Concerns Resources Leverage WSMR s past experience base of JLENS, PAC3, SM6, and of course the Army s center-piece of SOS testing: the Network Integrated Evaluation (NIE). Use of WSMR capabilities such as our local Inter Range Control Center (IRCC), which connects through the DREN using JMETEC, and provides resources to other test ranges, labs and facilities across the nation. Test Program Challenging in Many Areas Concurrent Activities Stretched Resources/Spares Personnel Schedule. Competing requirements between AIAMD and various Unit systems (like PATRIOT, IFPC, Sentinel, etc.)
