1 REDSTONE TEST CENTER VISITORS INFORMATION PACKET GENERAL INFORMATION Redstone Test Center (RTC) is a tenant activity on Redstone Arsenal (RSA), Alabama. Redstone Arsenal is a restricted access area. Visitors to RTC are subject to RSA access control procedures. It is absolutely imperative that visitors to RTC follow the guidance contained in this information package to ensure error free visits. In general, visit coordination is a four step process: Visitor submits visit request to RTC Security Manager; NOTE: The actual dates/visit duration that RSA access is desired, is of the utmost importance. RTC Security Manager confirms visit request with RTC Test Manager; RTC Test Manager coordinates visit with Test Area Security POC, Test Engineer and RTC Plans and Operations. Test Area Representative enters coordinated visit request information into the RSA post access data base. This step constitutes the official Visitor s Badge Request. Visit execution has the potential of becoming a frustrating event for several reasons: Visit requests are not submitted in time to allow for proper and effective coordination. Untimely visit requests can result in visitors being delayed at the RSA Visitor s Center (Gate 9), while visit coordinators try to expedite a late request. Visitors convey to RSA Visitors Center representative that they do not intend to visit for the duration indicated in their visit request. Visitors do not pick up their badge at the RSA Visitors Center within 14 days after the coordinated visit start date. IF visitors do not pick up their badge at the RSA Visitors Center within 14 days after the coordinated visit start date, the badge request is automatically deleted from the system. Security Clearance Verification versus Visit Request: RTC will maintain visitors security clearance on file for one year. A security clearance does not constitute a visit request. Visit requests MUST have actual dates/visit duration that RSA access is desired for each visit.

2 Key Points: CAC Visitors: Visitors who have a valid Common Access Card (CAC) can enter at all open gates. Non-CAC Visitors: Visitors who do not have a valid CAC MUST inform RTC Security by completing the attached form and returning it before the date of visit. A visitor badge will be issued and can be picked up from the Visitor Center at Gate 1 or 9 (see 3-day rule) Foreign National Visitors: Visitors wishing to bring Foreign Nationals must coordinate with RTC Security Manager 45 days prior to visit SECURITY CLEARANCES and VISIT REQUEST: Visitors DO NOT have to have a security clearance to visit RTC unless the purpose of their visit is classified and requires one. More times than not, unclassified visit requests are sufficient. However, a valid security clearance is required and must be on file at RTC if unescorted access to facilities is desired and authorized by RTC personnel. 3-day Rule: Visitors must send visit requests/security clearances to RTC Security, 3 working days prior to their visit to facilitate coordination with the Redstone Arsenal Provost Marshall s Office (PMO) and appropriate Test Facilities.
