SATUAN I GEGANA Gegana organizational structure is different from the other Brimob squad. The common size standard of its personnel is evident in the so-called sub-detachment personnel bonding, not a company neither a platoon. The use of this term indicates that the bonding of personnel in the Gegana is considerably less than the other Brimob personnels bond. the detachments in the Satuan I Gegana are divided into five, namely: Detachment A Resintelmob Detachment B Bomb Squad Detachment C Anti-Terrorism Detachment D Anti-Anarchist Detachment E KBR (Chemical, Biological, Radioactive)
HISTORY Aircraft hijacking in Australia in 1974 was the beginning of the formation of the National Police Mobile Brigade Corps Gegana. To anticipate the recurrence of the effects of hijacking on Homeland security, the Gegana was formed with the main duties as a Special Forces Anti Aircraft Piracy (Atbara).
PERSONEL In carrying out its duties as Special forces, the amount of the involved bomb squad personnel is relatively little, not as much as the amount of Brimob personnel in general. In other words, it does not use conventional sizes ranging from platoon to detachment, therefore bomb squad rarely perform tasks involving a detachment at once. Gegana that has the main duty to assist the Chief of Police and all Police rows in the whole range of areas across Indonesia in the framework of the operational duties of the In police, carrying particularly out its duties in tackling as Special piracy, forces, kidnapping, the amount bomb of threats, the involved and Search Gegana and squad Rescue personnel (SAR). With is relatively the development little, not of as the much security as the situation amount and of Brimob the perceived personnel lack in of general. In other knowledge words, needed it does not skills, use especially conventional in the sizes field ranging of taming from the platoon bomb so to as detachment, to meet the therefore needs of Gegana the start squad of 1990, rarely the perform Mobile Brigade tasks involving Police bomb a detachment squad personnel at once. began receiving bachelor filtered through graduate Education Resource officers (PPSS) that the majority were taken from the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biological, physich science, chemical Nuclear Engineering, Communication Engineering, Medicine etc. The existence of such experts in the bomb squad enhance further the ability of Polri Bomb Squad in carrying out Polri tasks which are categorized as heavy.
COAT AND MOTO COAT The Gegana emblem is "Black Swallow" which symbolized the strong and resilient physical and mental of the squad members against rain / heat, tirelessly in the execution of tasks in the field.
COAT AND MOTO MOTO Satuan I Gegana has the motto "Faithful, Steadfast, Beware" and the motto of devotion, "The happiest devotion in life is when we do something for the nation and state that other people may not be able to do" to guide each member of the squad in action as well as in life everyday
Detachment E KBR Detachment KBR (Chemical, Biological, and Radioactive) is one of the detachment under the Gegana Corps of Brimob. Detachment KBR has a special ability in handling materials containing hazardous chemicals, biological and radioactive. Internationally, KBR or CBRN (Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear Radioactif), often also called WMD (Weapon of Mass Destruction) has become the world's attention.
HISTORY KBR Detachment was formed based on decision of Chief of Police No. Pol was formed No. Pol. Kep / 13 / XII / 2009 dated December 13, 2009 on the organization and work units at Indonesian Police Headquarters level Annex "X" Korbrimob Polri, Sat I Gegana consists of 5 Detachments. 21 Despite their young ages, Detesemen KBR has carried out its duties as first responders came to the scene when there is a threat, disturbance, accident, incident KBR in Indonesia. Among other are as follows: 1. On Monday April 23, 2012, there was a threat using an envelope with anthrax letter inscribed on it at the French embassy for Indonesia, on General Sudirman street, BCA tower 38 th floor. The envelope addressed to the Embassy staff, Fabian and Ghillian. Both staff who already touched the envelope were then isolated. KBR unit arrived at the scene to act as a team of responders. After being identified in collaboration with the Center for Veterinary Research (BBALITVET) Bogor, apparently to no avail, and it was not a hazardous material, only the starch powder
Despite their young ages, Detesemen KBR has carried out its duties as first responders came to the scene when there is a threat, disturbance, accident, incident KBR in Indonesia. Among other are as follows: 2. On Day Friday April 11, 2014, there has been a chemical accident at the Australian Embassy Clinic on Airlangga street, Kebayoran Baru Jakarta. One unit KBR came to the scene carrying out their duties as first responders and subsequently carry out decontamination of hazardous chemicals (formaldehyde concentrated). The team managed to carry out his duties properly so that the scene is declared free from harmful chemicals and can be used again as usual.
COMMON We emphasize that security is the duty of all parties, we can not only rely on ourselves, either the police or the users of radioactive and nuclear materials. All must work together to realize the security. So far we, KBR police, have implemented a consolidation, cooperation and trainings with various agencies / institutions, either with the Ministry of Industry, Institute EIJKMEN, Bbalitvet, University of Indonesia, for chemistry and biology and also with BATAN Bapeten for Radioactive and Nuclear field. Strong collaboration is very important for us to increase knowledge by conducting a variety of trainings and coordinations in implementing the easy handling when an incident happened in field.
REALITY 1 Police Unit (KBR) has not been involved in a pam object radioactive / nuclear in this case (Reactor / Batan). 2 Transport of radioactive materials / nuclear has never escorted Police (KBR unit). Proposal: Because the KBR problem, in this case Radioactive / nuclear is no longer just a matter of one institution / agencies but in the event of accident or misuse of such materials will consequently have an impact nationally and even internationally, so that the security of these materials should not be underestimated or ignored
To anticipating undesired things, we want to propose to the associated parties, some points as follows: 1 The existence of specific assistance by the national police (KBR unit) in the securing of radioactive objects / nuclear (BATAN reactor) to be closely involved with placing a unit KBR equipment and panoply. It is not excessive when compared with the reactor in chille whose reactor power capacity is lower but they already involved police officers equipped with a complete equipment and weapons to anticipate undesirable things. This has been discussed by our members with the security side in Batan.
To anticipating undesired things, we want to propose to the associated parties, some points as follows: 2 In the transport of radioactive / nuclear materials shall involve an escort from the police (KBR unit). With the unit KBR alert at nuclear facilities / Batan, this will facilitate escorts, where necessary, with immediate mobilization of radioactive / nuclear materials. Because KBR unit itself has been getting special treatments if in case, there is something in the road and what immediate actions should be performed when the incident occurred at the scene. Further, these mechanisms and specific assistance techniques shall in particular be realized in the near future after prior assessment and discussion between the two sides.
