During more than 27 years of both state and federal law enforcement experience, Mr. Tamez has held both senior investigative and supervisory roles with state and federal law enforcement as well as senior management positions with the U.S. Department of Justice - serving in both domestic as well as foreign posts. In addition to his extensive foreign operational and host national training experience, Mr. Tamez is a court adjudicated expert in most Title 18 and Title 21 complex criminal, undercover, and electronic (Title III) intercept investigations. Mr. Tamez is a recognized authority in facility and prison security in both urban and rural settings. As a senior manager, he is also an authority in most government administrative matters to include Human Resource and Workers Compensation issues. As an advocate for inmate & civil rights issues, Mr. Tamez has become intimately familiar with the inner-workings of the U.S. Bureau of Prisons (BOP) as well as their programs and operating procedures. Already adjudicated as an expert witness in myriad state/federal criminal investigative matters, Mr. Tamez has now broadened his already considerable expertise by authoring various legal reference and inmate advocacy manuals to include: The Pre-Release/Post-Release Process for Federal Inmates, Medical Issues for Federal Inmates, and The BOP Disciplinary Process, The Administrative Remedy Process for Federal Inmates, thus establishing himself as one of this industry s foremost authorities in BOP procedural and administrative matters as well. Along with his recent legal reference manuals and other professional publications, Mr. Tamez recently authored, The Breach of Our Southwest Border, detailing the current drug and weapons smuggling along our borders, The BOP s Failure to Properly Implement the 2 nd Chance Act of 2007, detailing the BOP s failure to adhere to federal statute and most recently, the critically acclaimed Targeting Child Pornography, detailing U.S. law enforcement efforts targeting computer pedophiles Under Mr. Tamez s supervision, The MPM Group also developed the website which helps prepare individuals for reporting to a federal penal facility as a result, Mr. Tamez is frequently sought after for his expertise in helping prepare convicted law enforcement personnel, politicians, and other celebrities for reporting to a federal penal facility. Mr. Tamez has participated in the U.S. government s Senior Executive Program and has completed several other U.S. government strategic planning and executive management programs.
