31 The lecturers Invited speaker: Paula Stephan Paula Stephan is professor of economics, Georgia State University and a research associate, National Bureau of Economic Research. Her research focuses on the economics of science and the careers of scientists and engineers. Recent work examines how bibliometric measures discourage risk taking in science, the relationship between international mobility and scientific productivity, how gender pairing between student and advisor relates to the productivity of PhD recipients and the economics of the postdoctoral position. She is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and member of the Board of Reviewing Editors, Science. She was named Science Careers first Person of the Year in 2012.
32 The lecturers Invited speaker: Henk F. Moed Henk F. Moed has been senior staff member and full professor in research assessment methodologies in the Center for Science and Technology Studies at Leiden University from 1981 until February After that, he was senior scientific adviser and director of an informetric research group at Elsevier in Amsterdam until November He has published over 100 research articles in peer reviewed journals in the field of quantitative science studies and research assessment, and publish a monograph Citation Analysis in Research Evaluation (Springer, 2005), one of the few textbooks in the field. At present he is a visiting professor at the Sapienza University of Rome.
33 The lecturers Invited speaker: Andrea Camanzi Transport Regulation Authority president since September 2013, during period he has been advisor at the Works, Services and Provisions Public Contract Supervision Authority (AVPC). Until 2007 he has matured his competence about economic and tariff regulation profiles and theirs industrial and technological implications in multinational ICT private companies apical positions. He has been Telecom group Vice President for Public and economic affairs and Executive Vice President for Domestic and worldwide competition and regulatory affairs ( ) and member of TIM board of directors ( )
34 The lecturers Invited speaker: Nicolai J Foss Rodolfo Debenedetti Chair of Entrepreneurship at the Bocconi University, Milano. Foss was a professor at the Copenhagen Business School until Among the several appointments, Foss has served as a panel member of the European Research Council, and on the Board of Directors of the Strategic Management Society. He was listed as the best Danish economist by the Danish newspaper, Børsen, in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
35 The lecturers Invited speaker: Alberto Di Minin Alberto Di Minin is an Associate Professor at the Istituto di Management of the Scuola Superiore Sant Anna (Pisa, Italy) and a Research Fellow with the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy (BRIE, U.C. Berkeley). Alberto s research deals with the appropriability of innovation: (Open Innovation, new business models), technology transfer, Intellectual Property and R&D Management. In 2006 he got his Ph.D. with a dissertation on the internalization of R&D from the Department of City and Regional Planning at U.C. Berkeley. He has received a M.S. in Public Policy from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta and a B.A. in Economics from the Scuola Sant Anna. Alberto is the Italian Delegate Horizon 2020 for Innovation in SMEs and Access to Risk Finance.
36 The practitioners Invited speaker: Andrea Cabrini Andrea Cabrini is the Managing Editor of ClassCnbc, the Italian arm of Cnbc and the leading Italian financial and economic channel, on air live on the Sky satellite platform (channel 507) and streaming on Milano Finanza portal. In September 2012 he was also appointed Co-Managing Editor of Milano Finanza, the financial newspaper of Class Editori. Cabrini is an experienced financial journalist and anchor, with three decades of experience covering financial markets, asset management and private investments. Prior to joining Class Editori, Andrea Cabrini has been working for ten years as Editor in Chief at Mediaset, the first private broadcasting company in Italy. He studied Political Sciences at the Università degli Studi di Milano and became journalist after a master at IFG, Istituto per la Formazione al Giornalismo, in 1986.
37 The lecturers AiIG speaker: Mario Calderini Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Manchester is full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, School of Management, where he teaches Strategy and Social Innovation and chairs the Alta Scuola Politecnica, the honor program jointly managed by Politecnico di Milano and Torino. He is the Executive Vice President of Fondazione Politecnico. He is Senior Advisor to the Minister of University Research and Innovation and Government s Sherpa for the G7 Italian Presidency His numerous publications in highly ranked international journals cover several topics in the field of innovation and social impact finance. He has been a member of the G8 Task Force for Social Impact Investment, he chaired the Italian Advisory Board on Social Impact Finance, he is the President of the Scientific Committee of the Social Impact Agenda for Italy. He sits in the Italian Government s Advisory Group on Social Entrepreneurship and Impact Measurement and he contributed to promote the social innovation agenda in Italy, launching the sector s first public consultation.
38 The lecturers Invited speaker: Carlo Cambini Carlo Cambini is Professor of Industrial Organization in the Department of Management at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He got a degree in Economics at the faculty of Economics of the University of Pisa and he earned a Ph.D in Public Economic from Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies, Pisa, Italy. He was Visiting Scholar at the Industrial Economic Institute (IDEI) of the University of Toulouse. In 1999 he received the Young Economist Essay Award at the European Association for Research in Industrial Economics (EARIE) conference in Losanne (CH).
39 The lecturers AiIG speaker: Mariano Corso Professor of Leadership and Innovation at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano. He co-founded the Digital Innovation Observatories, and he s responsible for many Observatories including Smart Working, HR Innovation Practice, Digital Agenda, Digital Innovation in Healthcare, Cloud and ICT as a Service and the Digital Business-Innovation Academy. He s founder and Scientific Director at P4I - Partners4Innovation, the Advisory Company of the Digital360 group. As senior advisor in management and Digital Transformation, he manages projects for companies, Local Governments and Public Administrations. He promoted and co-ordinated national and international research projects authored many scientific publications of which more than 140 at the international level.
40 The lecturers AiIG speaker: Cinzia Daraio Cinzia Daraio is specialized in science and technology indicators, higher education microdata and methodological and empirical studies in productivity and efficiency analysis. Over the years she participated in several international and national research projects and expert groups at the European Commission and OECD on these subjects. She is member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Productivity Analysis, International Transactions in Operational Research, Scientometrics, Journal of Data and Information Science, Scholarly Metrics and Analytics and others. She is referee for more than 35 journals. She was project evaluator for the Rustaveli National Science Foundation, external reviewer for the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and member of the Commission of Experts for the Evaluation of the Third Mission Activities of the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research
41 The lecturers AiIG speaker: Giulio Zotteri Professor of Supply chain and Demand Management and Marketing at Politecnico di Torino, he has conducted research and training program in a variety of industry including luxury, retail, automotive, furniture, consumer goods and healthcare In such programs he has worked for industries and public institutions
42 The practitioners Research support: Chiara Biglia Chiara Biglia, Head of the Excellent Science and Researchers Mobility Office-Research Support Department of Politecnico di Torino. She has a degree in International Political Science and a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management. She has 20 years of experience in fund raising and management of international projects. She coordinates the participation of POLITO in the HRS4R-Human Resources Strategy for Researchers process of the European Commission. She is expert evaluator for the European Commission for the HRS4R process. In European Union's Research and Innovation FP7 she was national expert of the program committee "Regions of Knowledge, Research Potential and Coherent Development of Policies"
43 The practitioners Research Support: Valentina Romano Valentina Romano has 14 years experience as research manager at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. She was responsible for the management of several EU projects, not limited to her organization, and she is currently Head of Collaborative Projects Office, leading a team of experts in pre-award activities. She holds a MA in International Political Science, a Master Degree in University Management at Politecnico di Milano- School of Business and a module certificate in Internationalization of higher education at the MBA on Higher Education at UCL
