2 FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP LIST Availibility of all scholarships is dependent on funding*. Applicants are required to submit supporting documention with their applications. Guidelines are listed on all application forms. Incomplete applications will not be considered for any award. Full time student status is based on 12 credit hours. Alumni & Friends $250 Per Year Open to all students. Recipient must maintain full-time student status (12 credit hours). Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Bushnell Scholarship $250 Per Year Awarded to a science major. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA and full-time student status (12 hours). Barnie J. Cheek $250 Per Year Scholarships granted to incoming freshman. Recipient must be majoring in an agricultural field. If possible, recipient must be a CSC work-study. Recipient must maintain a 2.75 GPA, prefence is given to a Sequoyah county resident. Selection is on the basis of financial need and achievements. Submit application to the Office of Agriculture. Business Students Varies Recipient must be a Business Major (Business Admministration or Business-Accounting). Recipient must have completed and/or have a current enrollment for a combined total of at least 25 credit hour & no more than 50 college credit hours. (Excluding zero level classes) Recipient must have completed or the process of completing at least 12 total college credit hours in Business classes. (See Business degree plan). Recipient must maintain full-time student status (12 hours) with a 3.0 overall GPA. Preference may be given to students who are participating in Phi Beta Lambda business club or other school clubs and/or who are currently working in business to help with their school expenses. Ed Edmondson Varies Recipient must be majoring in Criminal Justice. Memorial Scholarship Recipient must be a full-time student (enrolled in for Criminal Justice 12 or more credit hours). and maintain a 3.0 GPA in order to remain elegible for scholarship. Fenton Agriculture $250 Per Year Recipient must be majoring in an agricultural field. Minimum Scholarships granted to incoming freshman. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA and full-time student status. General Foundation $250 Per Year Recipient must maintain 2.5 GPA, full-time student status (12 hours). Open to all students. Bruce Hensley $250 Recipient must maintain 2.5 GPA and full-time student status (12 hours). Recipient is selected by Executive Director of Connors Development Foundation and is open to all students. Independent Pioneer $250 Per Year Recipient must maintain 3.0 GPA and full time student status. Telephone Assoc. Minimum Scholarship granted to a computer science major. Applicant must be served by a member of an independent telephone company. Must maintain full-time student status (12 hours). Must be a second year student.

James $250 Per Year Student must be handicapped as defined: Student is a handicapped person in that he or she is experiencing impairment of vision, hearing, or other sensory functions; has limitations to physical movement due to birth defect, accident, injury or illness; has impairment of mental or neural capacity; or has a health condition seriously impeding and/or complicating participation in education experiences normally and routinely a part of the course for which the student plans to enroll. Student must have a 2.5 GPA at entry. Student must maintain a 2.5 GPA each semester to retain the scholarship. Student must re-apply each fall semester to continue the scholarship. Preference given to Haskell County residents. E. P. Recipient must maintain full-time student status (12 hours). Muskogee Area Preference given to a graduate of one of the Consortium Educational Consortium Varies high schools (Ft. Gibson, Hilldale, Muskogee or Oklahoma Festival of Trees School for the Blind) between the years of 1994 (date of Consortium s inception) and present academic year. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA in order to be eligible for the scholarship. Recipient must maintain full-time student status(12 hours). JE Myers Varies Recipient must be a sophomore equine major. Must maintain 2.5 GPA. Recipient will be selected on the basis of financial need and achievements. Final recipient chose by the JE Myers family. Nero Teacher Education Varies Recipient must be seeking a major in teacher education. Selection based on need. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA in order to be eligible for the scholarship. Recipient must be enrolled in no less than six credit hours per semester. Marguerite Yost Padgett $300 One time Recipient must be majoring in home economics or agricultur- Award al field and must maintain a 2.75 GPA. Recipient will be selected on basis of financial need and achievement. Must re-apply each spring semester to continue the scholarship. Must maintain full-time student status. (12 hours)

4 FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP CONTINUED Randolph Rodeo $250 Per Year Recipient must be participating in the CSC Rodeo program. Recipient must maintain full-time student status (12 hours) and maintain a 2.5 GPA. Sharpe $300 Per Year Awarded to a business major. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA and full-time student status (12 hours). Joe Synar $250 Per Year Open to all students, must maintain full-time student status(12 hours). Must have a 2.5 GPA. Owen & Velma Taylor $250 Per Year Student must be a unmarried female (with depen- endents preferred) (Non-traditional student). Preference is given to Sequoyah County residents and have a 2.0 GPA at entry and maintain at least a 2.0 GPA each semester to retain the scholarship. Student must re-apply each fall semester to continue the scholarship. Final selection will be made by Mrs. Velma Taylor. Occidental Petroleum, $250 Per Year Recipient will be a Connors State College Baseball Phillip & Barbara Vann player. The baseball coach shall choose the recipient. Carol O. Westbrook $250 Per Year Award is based on need. Available to all students. Must maintain a 2.5 GPA, and full-time student status (12 hours). Tom Wood $250 Per Year Recipient must maintain a 3.0 GPA. Selection is based on scholarship and/or needs unmet by other scholarship funds. Recipient must not receive State or Federal Financial Aid or Enhanced ACT scholarship. Primary selection consideration shall be given to CSC employees or to the child or spouse of a current or retired CSC employee. Funds may be used to meet tuition, books, supplies, materials, room & board or other related college expenses and shall be paid directly to Connors State College. Loyd Patterson $250 Per Year Recipient must be a full time student and a 2.5 GPA. Open to all students. Rusell & Ayn Madigan $250 Per Year Recipient must be a full time student, a 2.5 GPA and majoring in Pre-Education. David Thompson $250 Per Year Open to all students. Recipient must maintain full-time student status (12 credit hours) and 2.5 GPA. Bernie Jiles Business Students $250 Per Year Open to students majoring in business. Recipient must maintain full-time student status and 2.5 GPA.

5 NURSING SCHOLARSHIP LIST The following nursing scholarships are for students already accepted into the nuring program. Gloria A. Baker $250 Per Year To be awarded to a student in their second or third Nursing (RN) year. Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Gloria A. Baker $250 Per Year Awarded to a student(s) entering the nursing Nursing January Entry program in the January class. Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA. VFW/Ladies Auxiliary $250 Per Year Recipient(s) will be a nursing student. Preference Post 9152 given to student(s) from the Warner area and must maintain a 2.5 GPA. Selection is based on financial need and achievement. P.E.O. Scholarship Varies Recipient must be a citizen of US or Canada and be sponsored by a P.E.O. chapter. Have had at least 12 months as a non-student some time in his/her adult life, be within 24 consecutive months of completing educational goal and is not enrolled in a Ph.D., law degree or medical doctorate degree program. 7 DEVELOPMENT FOUNDATION & SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION Connors Development Foundation, Inc. scholarships are available without regard to race, color, sex, gender, national origin, age, religion, handicap or status as a veteran. The Connors Development Foundation administers a number of private scholarships that are funded and awarded by individuals, foundations, agencies and organizations. The donors set the scholarship requirements and the Connors Development Foundation Scholarship Committee composed of faculty and /or staff and Foundation Board members select the recipients. Information pertaining to scholarships, criteria and changes are available through the Foundation office, located at the CSC Three Rivers Port Campus in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Serving Connors State College 2501 N. 41st Street East Muskogee, OK All scholarships are for the academic year with the exception of the Kirschner Scholarship Award for Mentally and/or Physically challenged students. Applications must be applied for on a yearly basis. Deadline is MARCH 1ST DISBURSEMENT Scholarship checks will be disbursed through the business office. Outstanding fees will be paid first. If no fees are outstanding, the recipient will then receive the check. Recipients are selected on past performances from the application pool. Selections are made based on past grades, activities, unmet financial need, etc. THE SCHOLARSHIP FUNDS ARE AWARDED TO THE INDIVIDUAL RECIPIENTS BASED SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF EACH SEMESTER AT CSC AND MUST MEET THE SCHOLARSHIP GRADE POINT REQUIREMENT SET BY THE DONOR(S). THE GPA REQUIREMENT IS BASED ON EACH INDIVIDUAL SEMESTER S GPA (NOT CUMULATIVE GPA). Scholarship recipient must provide the foundation a Thank You letter to be forwarded to the donor. Disbursement of the award will not be allowed unless a Thank You letter is received by the Foundation IMPACT ON FINANCIAL AID Scholarships are considered resource funds under state and federal guidelines; therefore, scholarship awards become part of a student s financial aid package. Scholarships are first used to cover the student s unmet need. Gift aid (grants) will be reduced only if the total of all awards exceed the amount of financial aid for which the student is eligible. In no case will the Pell Grant be reduced as a result of a scholarship. Additional documentation pertaining to applicant s income may be requested.
