1 SONS OF ITAL Y NATURE COAST LODGE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 2018 SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS It is the goal ofthe SONS OF!TAL Y NATURE COAST LODGE 2502 to promote and encourage the studies ofitalian heritage and culture. This scholarship program is designed to benefit worthy students ofitalian descent that display academic excellence, leadership qualities and a financial need. Two $ Scholarships will be awarded on the basis ofeligibility, scholastic achievement, financial need and participation in school and community programs. 1. Applicants must be ofitalian descent and a resident offlorida. 2. Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.00 (unweighted) 3. Applicants must have a minimum SAT total score of 1100 or must have an ACT Composite score of Recipients must be accepted as a full-time student at an accredited junior college, college or university and must enroll immediately following graduation in 2018 from one of the five Hernando County High Schools in Florida. Funds for the recipients will be mailed directly to the school Bursar or Financial Aid Office ofthe choice with the instruction that they may be used for any expenses processed through their office for the recipient. Scholarship recipients that are accepted and decide to attend another school, other than the one originally selected, must immediately notify the Sons ofitaly Nature Coast Lodge 2502 Chairperson so the funds may be transferred to the appropriate institution. Unused funds in the account must be returned to Son of Italy Nature Coast Lodge 2502 upon either ofthe following: I. The recipient ceases to attend classes for whatever reason and does not immediately transfer to another accredited institution 2. Scholarship winners and parents will receive three (3) dinner tickets; there will be a charge for additional dinner tickets.
