3 Sample Designs In Thailand Sample designs in Thailand Local Administration in Thailand is divided into; Bangkok Metropolis Other 76 provinces Group of provinces constituted regions. There are altogether 1 BKK and 4 regions. North Northeast Central South 3

9 Sampling Plan Selection of tertiary sampling unit (Simple Random Sampling) 1 eligible per household (aged 6 years and over in 2014) (aged 10 years and over in ) Method Combination of direct interview and self-completed questionnaire Time Sample All days of the week covered by assigning one day to each respondent. - The enumerator will try to distribute reference days so that each day of the weeks is uniformly allocated to total number of respondents - However 2014 TUS, Day was specified by sample planning stage which distribute to respondents 9

25 Conclusions and policy recommendations Women participated in non economic activities more than men, especially household services and care for household members. To reduce gender inequity, both economic and noneconomic activities should be equally addressed. Non economic activities, should be included in the GDP estimation. Need campaign to change social attitude, especially men, on sharing responsibility in non economic activities osthailand.nic.go.th 25
