Morgan Hospital Administrator RESPONSE TO INQUIRIES REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) #FSH Provide and Install an Automated Medication Dispensing System Date: December 13, 2016 To: Prospective Vendors of From: Subject: Scott Forehand, Procurement Manager Vendor Questions and Departmental Responses Question 1: Please provide further details around the Specialty Cabinets required for the Emergency Room. FSH Response 1: NFETC Response 1: Question 2: Please see the attached FSH RESPONSE #1 Medication List and I.V. Solutions List. I have highlighted (in yellow) the line items (controlled substance medications) that need to be dispensed in a single dose format. Medications must be dispensed by first to expire order (first in, first out).the nurse will only have access to the medication to be dispensed with no countback required. The cabinet must also be able to accommodate the highlighted (in blue) high volume, unitdose, line items and the I.V. solutions. NFETC does not have an Emergency Room, so there is no need for a Specialty Cabinet. The RFP specifies that all questions are due on 12/6/2016. Will we be permitted to ask additional questions once we receive the medication lists on 12/13/2016? Response 2: This is the only formal Question and Answer period for this solicitation. However, at each unit, we should be able to retrieve a patient medication profile of any patient at the Center. We do a lot of patient transfers. Will Wi-Fi be installed by the hospital before time of deployment? No. Yes. Will the carts need to be operated offline without Wi-Fi? Yes. Will vendor need to install wireless access points so that the carts can be used online? No. Please clarify the cart requirements for the clinics how many locations will need to be served and which applications need to be installed, etc.? The mobile carts will be used in Medical Services Unit Dorm M (MSUM) to administer medications to the non-ambulatory residents. The clinic needs one cart that will list all the residents at the Center and their medications. The statement was made that all schedule medication needs to be in a lock lidded pocket, but what about non-control medications? Specification #14 page 15 of RFP, Provide cabinets with multiple drawer configurations (i.e., high security, metal locking lidded (to secure controlled substances), lit open matrix, open matrix, lit bulk storage capacity drawers) and multiple cabinet configurations for increased capacity. The statement was made that medications need to be queued from any computer. How many computers will need to have that access? Page 3 of 5
