1 From your President... GULF COAST CHAPTER July/August March/April Be like a duck. Calm on the surface, but always paddling like the dickens underneath. -Michael Caine As I wrap up my time as your President, I think I m more roadrunner than the duck but I keep going, looking to those of you who have done this work so well for so long. Really though, I think being part of FSGA and working closely with so many members has allowed me to see how all of us work so hard to help the people we serve. Before I switched careers, I had contact with guardians for decades and never appreciated the amount of work and commitment that goes in to making it all happen. I saw the surface, rarely understanding the crazy paddling that goes on under the water. Thank you for all that you do as part of our flock. At our next meeting we will be electing new members to our board, I want to thank our candidates for their willingness to take on extra service to make our little corner of the world better. We will also be discussing our spring conference (details coming soon) and reviewing what is in the works with our legislature this session. Stay tuned! Jennifer Burke
