Wisbi CARE WITH FOCUS
CARE WITH FOCUS TEXIBLE is your innovative partner for new solutions that support, facilitate and simplify everyday nursing care. TEXIBLE has developed TEXIBLE Wisbi, an intelligent sensor textile, to provide targeted nursing care. That s Care with focus. TEXIBLE Wisbi is the innovative nursing care product that stands out for its ability to automatically signal an alarm when moisture and body fluids are detected. The sensor textile is used in a wide variety of nursing care-related applications and makes targeted nursing care possible for the first time. This provides physical and mental relief for nursing staff and the individuals who are being cared for. Network Washable Sensor Textiles was an interdisciplinary research project which spawned the development of TEXIBLE Wisbi in The aim of the project was to provide support for the nursing and medical sector. Together with the nursing homes in the city of Dornbirn, bed linen manufacturing company Fussenegger Textil and laundry service company Berendsen, we analysed the application and pushed ahead with the development of TEXIBLE Wisbi. This intensive cooperation enables us to create innovative and useful products for inpatient and home care. This cooperative development was recognised in 2016, when we received the Innovation Award for the best start-up in Vorarlberg. Ing. Thomas Fröis Managing Director
TARGETED SUPPORT In everyday nursing care, the nursing staff is confronted with a multitude of tasks. TEXIBLE Wisbi helps them manage these tasks efficiently while providing maximum comfort for those affected. Incontinence in old age 29% Almost one third of all incontinent patients or residents of nursing homes are at high risk of developing incontinence- associated dermatitis (IAD) or decubitus. 1) Child bedwetting 15% 15% of kindergarten children are affected by enuresis (bedwetting). 5) After asthma, it is the second-most common childhood condition. According to the WHO, bedwetting is a malady that needs to be treated especially so that it doesn t persist. 5) Lt. Bundesverband der Kinder- und Jugendärzte e.v. (BVKJ) Every year, more than 500,000 people suffer from decubitus that requires treatment. 2) The resulting costs amount to approximately EUR 2.5 billion. 3) 1) Elke Kuno - Kongress Pflege 2017 / 2) Gesundheitsberichterstattung des Bundes, RKI / 3) vergl. Pelka 1997, zitiert nach DNQP 2002 / Paraplegia About 80% of people with paraplegia have urination disorders. Symptoms include the release of small or large amounts of urine without noticing an urge to urinate. 4) 4) vergl. Glaser, Duschet, Nieke, ProCare (2013): Leben mit Inkontinenz 80% This is where our TEXIBLE Wisbi system comes into play. We want to provide optimal support for the nursing staff in their daily work. Thanks to the targeted alarm system, the affected individuals are not unnecessarily disturbed and the time that s available can be used specifically for pending tasks.
TEXIBLE Wisbi Bed insert WHAT IS TEXIBLE Wisbi? TEXIBLE Wisbi is an innovative sensor textile that detects body fluids such as urine, blood, vomit or faeces. In the event of contact with a liquid, a signal followed by an automatic alarm is sent to the nursing staff. TEXIBLE Wisbi is very easy to use and washable. Our sensor textile is used both as a bed insert and as modified versions in various nursing care areas. Prompt alarms support the nursing staff in their daily work while simultaneously improving patients safety and well-being. TEXIBLE Wisbi Transmitter Intelligent alarms Reduced nursing care effort thanks to automatic alarms when wetness is detected Breathable Minimal perspiration thanks to a multi-layer composition and a breathable membrane Easy handling Simple connection with an existing call system or a socket outlet receiver 3 x thinner Thinnest washable incontinence bed insert 3 x thinner than comparable pads Waterproof Protects the mattress and sheet from moisture and reduces the need to change the bed linen Non-slip Thanks to a special functional fabric on the underside, the bed insert doesn t slip Maximum lying comfort Very comfortable lying position thanks to a double roughened cotton flannel Highest washing resistance Washable at 95 C. The bed insert can be cleaned like all common bed linens Eldat Socket outlet receiver
HOW DOES TEXIBLE Wisbi WORK? When body fluids come into contact with the sensor textile, they are absorbed by the pad. The sensor textile immediately sends a signal to a call system. TEXIBLE Wisbi can be easily integrated into existing call systems. If there is no call system, TEXIBLE Wisbi works with an Eldat socket outlet receiver; it triggers the alarm via radio. The socket outlet receiver can be installed in any room at a distance of up to 30 metres from the transmitter. Alerting the nursing staff Nursing staff are alerted via the existing call system or audibly by means of an Eldat socket outlet receiver. TEXIBLE Wisbi Transmitter When body fluids (urine, blood, vomit, faeces, etc.) are detected, a radio signal is automatically sent to the internal call system or a socket outlet receiver. TEXIBLE Wisbi Bed insert The bed insert is placed above the sheet as the top layer and connected to the transmitter via push buttons. TEXIBLE Wisbi Acute pad The sensor textile detects fluid leakage, e.g. from wounds or incontinence, and triggers an automatic alarm. Connection to the call system Connecting to an existing call system is simple. Our technicians will be happy to take care of it.
Wisbi SOLUTIONS TEXIBLE Wisbi facilitates many situations in everyday nursing care. Wisbi CLASSIC Wisbi WHEELCHAIR Wisbi PRO Wisbi KIDS Best aid for people with incontinence For acute situations that require real-time monitoring Wisbi DIALYSIS Additional security without extra effort We are happy to help you choose the right solution. Please contact us or get in touch with your TEXIBLE contact partner Increase well-being and make everyday life easier Child-friendly support against bedwetting (enuresis)
INPATIENT CARE Wisbi CLASSIC The bed insert that detects wetness. For easier and targeted care of people suffering from urinary incontinence. Wisbi CLASSIC is the intelligent bed insert with an automatic alarm system. As with conventional bed inserts, it is placed as the top layer on the bed. It immediately informs and warns nursing staff when the person who is being cared for is lying on a damp bed insert. This allows the nursing staff to react quickly and to change the linens immediately. This also results in the patient experiencing the shortest-possible lying time on a wet subsurface, thus contributing to their well-being and reducing the risk of skin irritation. The nursing staff will also find it much easier to manage their daily care routine, as regular manual checks for bed wetness are no longer required. The targeted interruption of sleep, which only occurs in the event of incontinence incidents, is a psychological and physical relief for the nursing staff. Using TEXIBLE Wisbi protects both the bed and the patient. Wisbi CLASSIC can be easily connected with an existing call system or used as a stand-alone alarm system. Care with focus - Minimal skin irritation due to the shortest possible time on a wet subsurface - Simplified nursing care thanks to targeted intervention instead of manual control - Mental and physical relief through targeted sleep interruption - More energy and greater well-being in everyday life for the patients thanks to a dry sleep
ACUTE MONITORING Wisbi PRO For situations that require monitoring. The bed insert that detects blood and other fluids. Wisbi PRO is used when patients are in acute danger of body fluids escaping, e.g. after operations. Among other things, blood or urine is detected by the sensor textile. The versatile alarm system TEXIBLE Wisbi informs the nursing staff as soon as the pad is damp. This allows the nursing staff to react immediately and intervene as quickly as possible after the liquid has escaped. The supporting control system thus reduces the risk of acute hazards and complications. In this way, it contributes significantly to the safety of patients. The effort involved in a regular manual control is also minimised, thereby lending support to the nursing staff. The system can be easily connected with an existing call system or used as a stand-alone alarm system. Wisbi PRO is flexible. The size of the sensor textile can be selected according to the application. In this way, entire bed inserts can be used, but so can smaller variants (e.g. for targeted monitoring of extremities). Care with focus - The risk of complications is minimised thanks to an immediate alarm after contact with liquids - Increased security through real-time monitoring - Nursing care support through targeted intervention - Mental and physical relief for the nursing staff
DIALYSIS STATION Wisbi DIALYSIS For safe dialysis treatment without serious incidents. The innovative sensor textile that detects blood and other body fluids. The Wisbi Dialysis sensor textile is placed under the part of the body that is punctured for monitoring purposes. If complications occur during dialysis and, for example, the needle or cannula slides out of the vascular connection due to the carelessness or restlessness of a patient, or if blood escapes for some other reason, the Wisbi DIALYSE sensor system reacts and sounds an alarm. The nursing staff are therefore able to react as quickly as possible and even save patients lives. In these kinds of cases, every second counts. In this way, Wisbi DIALYSE relieves and supports the supervising nursing staff in monitoring patients. The risk of uncontrolled blood loss can be significantly reduced through an alarm and rapid intervention. It s additional safety without extra effort for every dialysis treatment. Different sizes of the sensor textile can be used depending on the punctured part of the body, thus making it possible to monitor in the best-possible manner. Like all TEXIBLE Wisbi applications, the system can be easily connected to an existing call system and can also be used as a stand-alone alarm system. Care with focus - Increased safety for patients and nursing staff thanks to continuous monitoring - Breathability: avoid perspiration and therefore false alarms - Alarm: an audible or radio alarm is possible - Hygiene: washable sensor textile
WHEELCHAIR Wisbi WHEELCHAIR The wheelchair pad recognises wetness. For wheelchair users suffering from urinary incontinence. Wisbi WHEELCHAIR is an extremely thin seat pad which is placed on a wheelchair s seat insert as an additional safety measure. Because wheelchair users are often confronted with urinary incontinence, the wheelchair pad is intended to increase their sense of well-being and make everyday life easier. Otherwise, affected individuals may end up sitting in wetness without anyone noticing. This not only potentially results in physical consequences such as skin irritation, but it is also very psychologically stressful. Wisbi WHEELCHAIR provides the right solution for this problem, as it detects leaking liquids such as urine. The visual or audible feedback from the Wisbi transmitter informs the affected person, relatives or nursing staff whichever is desired. This ensures a prompt reaction, and unpleasant situations are avoided. This additional security can sustainably increase the well-being and quality of life of affected individuals. Wisbi WHEELCHAIR can be used as a standard model or adapted to individual dimensions. Care with focus - Maximum feeling of safety for the affected individuals - Breathability: no false alarms due to perspiration - Signalling and discretion: a visual, audible or radio signal is possible - Hygiene: Washable sensor textile
ENURESIS Wisbi KIDS The bed insert recognises wetness. For child-friendly support when it comes to bedwetting (enuresis). Wisbi KIDS aims to provide the best possible support for children suffering from bedwetting, and to significantly increase their sense of well-being. The effect of alarm devices for enuresis-related therapy has been proven, and Wisbi KIDS is the effective system with a washable sensor textile. The patented breathable sensor textile enables optimal therapy thanks to the alarm, which wakes the child with an audible signal immediately after he/she has wet the bed. The textile is waterproof and thus protects the bed. It is therefore no longer necessary to change the entire bed linen and remake the bed. Children are able to return to their comfortable bed more quickly and feel at ease despite the sleep interruption. Bedwetting is an enormous physical and psychological burden for both the affected children and the parents. The aim of Wisbi KIDS is to reduce this burden and help in the child s development. Care with focus - Sense of well-being for children and parents thanks to a dry, safe sleep - Mental and physical relief thanks to a sense of certainty and child-friendly support - Hygiene thanks to the washable sensor textile - Lying on the thin and breathable bed insert is pleasant
PROGRESS THROUGH INNOVATION 3 x thinner than comparable pads Cotton flanell for maximum lying comfort Push buttons for easy handling Space-saving transmitter TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS - Wisbi CLASSIC Size Material surface Water absorption Recommended textile change Wash resistance 64 x 100cm 100% cotton Up to 700 ml/m wash cycles Power Supply Battery life Radio Radio range 3xAA mignon batteries Micro USB-Port 2 years depending on application Eldat Easy Wave 868,3 Mhz Up to 30m in the building, depending on construction conditions (up to 100m in open field)
