1 FOI Request - Agency spend Question 1. What was your total spend for the last financial year (2015/16) for agency medical locums? 2. What was that spend broken by specialty, for example Accident and Emergency, Anaesthetics, Medicine, Mental Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Surgery? 3. What was that spend broken down by agency? 4. What was your total spend for the last financial year (2015/16) for agency nurses? 5. What was that spend broken by specialty, for example Accident and Emergency, Community, Critical, General, Mental Health, Midwifery, and Theatres? 6. What was that spend broken down by agency? Answer The information to be able to split into Specialty and Agency comes from 2 separate systems and as such do not produce the same answers. The Specialty information is that reported in the financial year and includes any estimates and accruals required. The report by agency comes from the payments system and this will show all the actual physical payments made during that year. Some of the payments will relate to the prior reporting year and it will exclude charges made at the end of the year that were not received/paid by the relevant date.
