12 Italian experience in Structural Funds for energy (RES and EE) In Italy in 2000 Energy was not one of the 6 priorities in the Structural Funds as today. Nevertheless the State and the Regions foreseen intervention to support the Energy Policy Energy was a sub Priority in Axis I Natural Resources (7,700 Meuro): Improve the gas and electrity consumption in Mezzogiorno and the reliability of the distribution networks...energy produced by RES.
