4 A few terms US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Funder of YHDP, CoC programs, and other housing related programs (e.g. Section 8) Continuum of Care (CoC) HUD identified region to coordinate funding applications and efforts to end homelessness Colorado has three CoCs OneHome Metro Denver s Coordinated Entry System

5 OneHome Youth Coordinated Entry for Youth started as a pilot in late 2016 when our community was awarded the Youth Bonus Project permanent supportive housing partnership between Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, Volunteers of America, and the DOLA/Division of Housing Currently: Coordination between agencies that serve youth experiencing homelessness, including shelter, outreach, and housing providers Primarily focused on matching youth experiencing homelessness to current vacancies. Monthly OneHome Youth meeting on the first Friday

6 YHDP 1 st and 2 nd NOFA Past FY communities chosen, 4 rural $33 million awarded Current- FY communities will be chosen, 5 rural $43 million available Community Awards start at $1 million HUD Technical Assistance begins at selection

Create a Coordinated Community Plan 4 months to submit 4 months to respond to HUD feedback for revisions/corrections Can request up to 30% of funds (not renewable) Implement the CCP Remaining awarded funds available 2 year term for project grants Grants may be eligible for renewal under the CoC NOFA
