5 Cortland DRI Survey Questions Project Description The City of Cortland has been awarded a Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) grant to support revitalization efforts in the downtown area (see map below). Your responses to the following survey will aid in our assessment of eisting conditions, help us understand how people access downtown, and will help identify any opportunities or challenges that eist. 9 City of Cortland Selected by New York State for $10 Million Dollar Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) A Local Planning Committee (LPC) is working with a consulting team, state planners, and key municipal representatives. The LPC has established a community-based vision for revitalizing downtown and the development of a Strategic Investment Plan. The DRI process utilizes Cortland s vision to establish a series of goals and strategies that will help guide the LPC to include the most viable transformative projects in the final Strategic Investment Plan. Strategic investment plans will eamine local assets and opportunities, and identify economic development, transportation, housing, and community projects that align with the community s vision for the downtown, that are poised for implementation, and that can leverage and epand upon the state s $10 million investment.
