3 Client Background SouthEastern Utility Company, a subsidiary of SouthEastern Utility Holding Company, provides electric service to approximately 3.2 million people in rural and metropolitan areas of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. With a commitment to exceptional client responsiveness, SouthEastern Utility offers programs designed to assist its residential clients in saving energy and money as well as services to meet the energy needs of its business clients, from economic development assistance to total managed energy solutions. Business Need SouthEastern Utility has request assistance in developing and delivering customized training in essential business software to selected staff members. The training will focus on uses of software that meet specific task objectives defined by SouthEastern Utility. Proposed Solution Aardvark will build and deliver high quality, customized training to meet the requirements determined by SouthEastern Utility's User Groups. Sample of training solutions could include Office XP Components Adobe Studio Aardvark Finalysis Aardvark Midas The Customized Training Solution team will consist of 3 content developers and instructors. Sample resumes are included in Appendix A. Building SouthEastern Utility will conduct user group meetings to determine the specific needs of staff and goals for training. Based on user group recommendations, Aardvark will meet with client to determine the range of materials to be developed build customized training and prepare all training materials Delivering Aardvark will work with the client to establish a schedule for instructor led training by Aardvark Consultants. Aardvark instructors will deliver course content face-to-face via PowerPoint presentations and live applications supported by print material. The average class size of users will allow for attention to individual user s needs. July 12, 2005 Aardvark Professional Services Page 3

4 The average class length will be between 1.5 and 2 hours, or such duration as deemed necessary to cover the material Aardvark will survey users about the classes and trainers after each session with the goal of continually improving training to meet users needs. Deliverables Training materials will consist of PowerPoint presentations printed materials that will be provided to all users participating in the training quality surveys for user feedback Client Responsibilities Client will provide training facilities and equipment, including but not limited to desktop computers and LCD projectors. Project Methodology Aardvark s focus is to provide localized, on time support solutions through partnerships with our clients. Aardvark s experience demonstrates that a strong partnership between a vendor and client provides the highest level of success. Aardvark s formula for ensuring success in a partnership is to: Select the right people with the appropriate management and technical skills. Provide support to all team members so they complete all activities assigned to them on time and above expectations. Use a structured change management process and implementation methodology. 5 Professional Fees The following illustrates an estimate cost for a two-hour class during normal working hours with twelve students. However, training will be billed on a time and materials basis. After-hours training rate is $135 an hour instead of $90 an hour. **Class training materials will include binders and copied print material.
