3 What is a Main Street Program? Program is used to revitalize older, traditional business districts throughout the United States. Common-sense way to address the variety of issues and problems that face traditional business districts. Encourage economic development within the context of historic preservation in ways appropriate to today's marketplace. Advocate rebuilding of traditional commercial districts based on their unique assets: distinctive architecture, a pedestrian-friendly environment, personal service, local ownership, and a sense of community.
4 TIME is a community-based, non-profit organization that facilitates Milton s Main Street Program. TIME s purpose is to enact positive change in the downtown business district. Programs include Façade grants, low interest loans, promotions and marketing, and fostering partnerships.
5 TIME for Teens TIME for Teens is an opportunity for teenagers to express pride in their community by becoming a part of downtown revitalization efforts.
