3 Request for Proposal 3 Introduction Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC is requesting proposals from qualified vendors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and services required to expand the current wired and wireless network infrastructure inside the Baton Rouge office to accommodate the newly renovated second floor office space for employees and conference room. Executive Summary Founded in 1982, Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC is a full service design firm specializing in residential renovations, residential new construction, and the adaptive reuse of older buildings. We also have a background in specialty commercial and historic preservation projects. We believe in architecture that is durable, functional, culture-based and responsive to the individual character and desire of each client. Our goal is to provide quality architectural services and to improve the built environment for ourselves and our neighbors: one family, one building at a time. Request Details Users Primary users will be employees of Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC. Primary users must be able to connect to our network in order to work with any and all ArchiCAD project files pertaining to projects. We currently have six (6) employees on the first (1 st ) floor and will be hiring approximately four (4) more soon to utilize the second floor. Location Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC currently has one (1) office location E. Airport Avenue, Suite A, Baton Rouge, LA Employees often travel to job sites across four (4) states where Kevin is licensed - Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, and Virginia.

4 Request for Proposal 4 Usage of Network Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC needs the current network extended to the second (2 nd ) floor so the employees can access all files from file server and ArchiCAD project files on the BIMS server, both currently located on the first (1 st ) floor. Evaluation Criteria The criteria and standards by which Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC will use during evaluation of proposals are: The proposal must be submitted prior to 5:00pm on Wednesday, June 1, Any and all proposals received after the deadline will not be opened. The proposal must include cost specifics for the expansion project. Relevance - The proposal must be relevant and fitting the needs of the project outlined in the RFP. Proficiency & Experience - The proposing vendor has proficiency and experience with our needs for the project. Presentation - The proposal is presented in a professional, well-organized, and thorough manner. Cost - The proposing vendor chose the most cost-effective solution available. Technical Specifications Current Equipment & Network Setup Currently, on the first floor, Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC has: five (5) 27-inch Apple imac computers o all utilize APC Back-UPS ES 500 two (2) 13-inch Apple MacBook Pro laptops o each utilizing an Apple LED Cinema 27-inch Thunderbolt Display one (1) Mac Mini Server 2 Ghz i7 Ghz, 2x2 GB RAM, 2x500 GB HD o utilized as our file server o utilizes a APC Back-UPS 750 one (1) 2x750 GB Serial ATA 7200 rpm

5 Request for Proposal 5 one (1) Mac Mini 2.5 Ghz 2x2GB RAM, 500 GB HD o utilized as our BIMS server TP-LINK TL-SG port Switch one (1) Apple AirPort Extreme MD031II/A Base Station N o utilized for our wireless network one (1) Kerio Control Box 1110 o utilized for our VPN one (1) AppleTV o utilized in our Conference Room for meetings one (1) wireless Brother printer one (1) Savin MP C3002 one (1) Savin MP CW2200 wide format color plotter All current equipment is to remain in place, as we are not replacing any current equipment. Expansion Equipment & Network Setup Needs We are in need of the following equipment, all of equal or better quality, and setup: one (1) - TP-LINK TL-SG port Switch one (1) - APC Back-UPS 750 one (1) - Mac Mini Server 2 Ghz i7 Ghz, 2x2 GB RAM, 2x500 GB HD at least, seventeen (17) - Cat5e Ethernet cables Setup should include: 1. Cat 5e network cabling and wiring for entire second (2 nd ) floor office space 2. Installation of two (2) network drops for each necessary room with required cabling and equipment as indicated on layout below 3. Termination of all cable runs 4. Successful testing of all runs for continuity All work is to be completed according to building, electrical, fire, etc. codes for the City of Baton Rouge. Vendor will provide warranty on all equipment and cabling, which should cover all costs associated with maintenance and repairs for reasonable time duration, to be started upon completion of work. Vendor may only work while an employee of Kevin Harris, Architect, LLC is on the premises and during the office hours of 8:00am till 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. If vendor needs to work after office hours or on the weekend, arrangements can be made at the discretion of Mr. Kevin Harris only.
