The housing includes apartments and townhouses suitable for families with children. Some rental units are designed for people who need wheelchair adapted facilities. One bedroom and bachelor suites are for single individuals and couples without dependants. All apartment buildings have stairs only unless otherwise noted. NOTE: CAPITAL REGION HOUSING CORPORATION IS PRESENTLY ON A WAITING LIST FOR ALL HOUSING PROGRAMS. WE DO NOT OFFER EMERGENCY HOUSING. All properties managed by Capital Region Housing Corporation are part of the Crime Free Multi Housing Program in the City of Edmonton. ALL household members 18 years of age and older are required to pass a criminal records check and sign a crime free addendum to their residential tenancy agreement before they move in. We pay for this service and will make arrangements for you to complete the necessary forms at the time you are offered a rental unit. Please indicate the program(s) and location(s) you are interested in by check marking the boxes. Qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list and will be contacted when they reach the top of the list. Although every effort will be made to place you in the location and type of accommodation you prefer, it may not be possible depending on availability. Only ONE rental unit will be offered to you. If you refuse the rental unit offered, your application will be cancelled. 2 Capital Region Housing Corporation STREET NW EDMONTON, ALBERTA, T5K 1M4 Phone (780) Fax (780) Crime Free Multi Housing Program Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC), along with our tenants and the Edmonton Police Service, is part of the Crime Free Multi Housing Program. We are working together to ensure that criminal activity is reduced or eliminated from our rental properties in the Community Housing and Affordable Housing Programs and in our Market Rentals. All CRHC complexes have been registered under this program. Tenants consent to be part of the program. They are required to sign the Residential Tenancy Addendum Agreement for Crime Free Multi Housing Program of Edmonton before they move in. By doing so, tenants agree that members of their household, their guests, and they, themselves, will not engage in the following criminal activity on or about the premises: (a) (b) (c) (d) (e) (f) any drug related criminal activity; solicitation (sex trade workers and related nuisance activity); street gang activity; assault(s) or threatened assault(s); unlawful use of a firearm; or any criminal activity that threatens the health, safety, or welfare of the landlord, other residents, or persons on the residential property or residential premises. If tenants or members of their household permit other persons onto the property or allow them to live in the premises, the tenants will be responsible for the actions of those persons and the consequences of those actions. The Addendum allows for the police to release information about criminal activity to CRHC for the purpose of determining if a breach of the agreement has occurred. It is understood and agreed that a single violation of any of these provisions will result in the termination of the tenancy. * * * If you do not wish to be part of the Crime Free Multi Housing Program, do not complete an application form for any Community Housing, Affordable Housing, or Market Rental properties managed by CRHC.* * * 2

3 Community Housing Program Listing Two Bedroom Units COMMUNITY HOUSING PROGRAM Rent is based on 30% of the tenant s gross household income (or the social assistance rent scale, if applicable). Tenants are required to pay for power. Heat and water are included in the rent. In some instances, the power may be added to the rent, the total of which will be payable to the landlord (CRHC). Tenants are responsible for all additional services such as telephone, cable, and internet. 1 Tenants pay a security deposit equal to the first month s rent, up to a maximum of $ Eligibility for continued assistance is reviewed annually and rent is re calculated where necessary. Each rental unit comes with a fridge and stove. Washers and dryers are not provided in the suites. Card operated washers and dryers are located in the laundry rooms of the apartment buildings. Only one pet per household is permitted. A pet application must be completed which will be subject to approval by the landlord (CRHC) and the landlord s decision is absolute. No dogs are permitted in Sir Douglas Bader Towers. The addresses on this list are the corner addresses of each complex and are not vacant so you may not see inside them. Please do not knock on the tenants doors to try to view these addresses.
