7 Water for Life... began in 2008 and is estimated to have reached over 60,000 villagers in remote parts of Tanzania. Much has been learned and it has been decided to continue the project into a second phase. So far the project has : trained and employed two water technicians installed twelve water pumps delivered health education in villages and trained health workers enabled school children to have access to clean water allocated 73,000 to water projects in Tanzania The Diocese of Leeds......continues the previous work of the historic Wakefield Diocese working shoulder to shoulder (bega kwa bega) with the Dioceses of Mara, Rorya and Tarime. Every project undertaken is also supported by the Tanzanian dioceses and local communities in terms of some funding, wages and volunteer labour. In the case of water projects, health education is also an integral part of the process. Your gift donation will enable new projects to reach thousands more villagers giving them the basic human right to clean water.
