Choice Words helps businesses, municipalities, government entities, and non-profits in the Hudson Valley and New York Metro Area meet their funding goals. Founded in1947, The Chazen Companies provides engineering, land surveying, planning, environmental and safety services, landscape architecture and construction services throughout the Northeast and beyond.
4 Presenters Steve Densmore President and Founder Steve has worked for 25 years as a communications professional in the Hudson Valley. He founded Choice Words in 2010 in response to an increasing call for supportive communications services in the region. Briana Maloney Vice President Briana co-founded Choice Words with Steve Densmore in She is a research and information specialist, and previously worked as a public information advocate at the New York State Library. Jennifer Gutman Senior Grant Writer Jennifer has worked with Choice Words since She received her M.A. in English from SUNY New Paltz, where she where she now teaches writing and literature. Jennifer is also a freelance writer, editor, and researcher. Emily Vanston Grant Writer Emily joined Choice Words in in 2016 following a 10-year career in publishing and marketing in New York City. She is a graduate of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. Chris Round, AICP The Chazen Companies Chris is Vice President of Planning Services at The Chazen Companies. He has over 25 years of experience providing planning and environmental services to government institutions and private clients.
