1 SADC De Papineau Annual Report En Route to a digital economy

Message from the President 2 And General Manager The was right when it designated the year as one of innovation, Web and electronic business in its strategic planning. Never has it been so relevant to talk about electronic business with today s entrepreneurs and to accompany them in the shift towards a digital economy. Keeping this challenge in mind at the heart of its activities, the last fiscal year helped position the SADC as a key player in the business development of our territory. Thisyear saw structuring and innovating projects such as the online regional business directory Acheter ici Outaouais. We have helped eight companies either develop transactional websites or create their first website, while financially supporting young entrepreneurs projects whose business plans were uniquely composed of e-commerce. In terms of local economic development, we have achieved a tremendous coup with the launch of a promotional Web portal for the Papineau RCM: Espace Papineau.ca. We have also developed a Route de l entrepreneur for the SADCs of Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine. Finally, we have optimized our use of the Web and social media to communicate more effectively our activities, our challenges, and our contributions to the community. We would like to thank the administrators for their involvement and expertise in serving our SADC. We are very grateful to the team s commitment to the economic development of the territory, which is, at many levels, second to none. The new year is already well underway and several projects are already in process under the theme of Sustainable Development so that we may continue to support the businesses of the territory with the new economic challenges of today. Congratulations to all! Jacques Bélisle, President Mélissa Bergeron, General Manager

Moreover, three loans over $150,000 were granted this year. Youth Strategy Program The $209,062 authorized under the Youth Strategy helped support 19 entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 in the acquisition, creation, and expansion or modernization of 13 businesses and created 31 new jobs while maintaining 80 others. $ Is the investment fund net worth for Nomber of loans Granted by the to companies since 1985 Companies Received loans in through the Investment fund of S&T

5 Jack s Soda Artisanal soda, Lac-des-Loups The SADC is proud to have supported Joël Beaupré and Mathieu Guillemette in their expansion project. Supported by the Youth Strategic program, the company was able to invest in the bottling of its products and therefore create an inventory for the sale of their drinks. With an original product and a clear vision, Jack s Soda has what it takes for the Canadian market and we are proud to be a partner in their success since the beginning.

6 Live Edge Timber Furniture, L Ange-Gardien La SADC supported young entrepreneurs Kevin Slama and Stéphanie Landry for the launch of Live Edge Timber, which produces personalized wooden furniture pieces. In keeping with the DIY trend, the company offers live edge wood pieces and table legs to assemble yourself in order to create high-end furniture made in Canada at a fraction of the price of major brands. Now distributed at Lowes, the company is experiencing a great start!

7 La Lichette Dairy Bar, Masson-Angers With the help of its Youth Strategic Program, The SADC was able to accompany Priscilla Plouffe and Jonathan Larouche in their business transition. By taking over this well-established commerce of the region, they realized their dream of becoming entrepreneurs at the age of 25. The SADC is foremost a human and professional service. In addition to being very efficient, they have exceeded our expectations and made us believe in ourselves more than ever. - Priscilla Plouffe

Local Economic Development 8 Acheter ici To promote and stimulate e-commerce, the created the outaouais.acheterici.ca portal: the unique directory of regional businesses that sell products and services online. Espace Papineau.ca In collaboration with the Papineau RCM and the Vallée Petite-Nation Chamber of Commerce, the SADC developed and created the Espace Papineau.ca portal. The RCM s Web promotional tool aims to attract businesses, families, and tourists to the region. This long-term development project is an unprecedented initiative in our territory. 5 to 7 Top Chrono At the request of the promoters of the RCM of Collines-del'Outaouais, the Papineau RCM and Collines-de-l'Outaouais CLD held the 3rd edition of the 5 to 7 Top Chrono. The debate, during which approximately 15 companies have one minute to sell their concept before a jury and public, experienced a record number of registrations. The addition of the People s Choice Award granted by Web users proved to be very successful.

9 Web Service Among the companies and organizations that our Web service has accompanied and coached in their digital strategy, the Centre d action culturelle Papineau entrusted us with the creation of its portal and Franktown House Flowers with its transactional website. We have developed a Route de l entrepreneur Web portal for our five SADC colleagues of Gaspésie-Îles-de-la-Madeleine. After Outaouais and Côte- Nord, it is the third region to acquire this comprehensive business startup tool.

Feasibility Studies Service Solution nature cooperative 10 Sustainable Development Service Synergie Outaouais The accompanied Solution nature cooperative in the revision of its strategic planning in Meetings were held with its members to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges the company was facing. This exercise allowed for a repositioning of the organization, the development of new markets, and the expansion of the services offered. As a partnership between the SADC and CREDDO, Synergie Outaouais is based on the exchange of residual waste in Outaouais. This program aims to accompany companies in the transition to an economy based on a cyclical model. Synergie Outaouais is part of eight other Synergies deployed by the CTTÉI in the province.

Youth Internships 11 Internet Community Acces Centre This year, we invested $95,500 in wages for nine youths under the age of 30 to work within the ICT field in companies and organizations located in our territory. 9 CACI are benefitting from the work of computer administrators in the SADC de Papineau territory.
