2 Growth from Renewables Groove progam Program duration: Program s total volume is about 95 M, of which about half is contributed by Tekes The program aims to address the growing demand for renewable energy through SMEs

3 Groove is primarily intended to support SMEs The goals are to increase the Finnish cleantech SMEs business skills and international competitiveness by developing skills and networks. Companies are encouraged to apply for Groove-program with projects which: Respond to the needs of customers with innovative solutions Pursue the commercialisation of research results faster Aim at growth through internationalisation Large companies can participate in the program primarily acting as an network leader and cooperating with SMEs. Groove supports research institutes and universities in commercialisation of their innovations, international joint ventures and the development of new innovations.

Funding development Funding research Coaching services for Businesses Funding for participating companies throughout the program Funding areas: Business development Internationalisation Knowledge, technology, or product and service development Commercialisation of innovations Tekes funding for company projects 22 million EUR Public research focusing on the commercialisation of research results and international cooperation Future calls are international calls with focus on company projects (parallel reseach projects are possible) Tekes funding for reseach projects 4 million EUR Business advice to address the challenges caused by international business and growth Coaching the company s management to prepare the necessary strategic policies, plans and reports Coaches: Jussi Savukoski & Jari Vepsäläinen

Seminars and Workshops Surveys from Finland and abroad Excursions and networking trips Renewable energy and internationalisation seminars Workshops with the opportunity to network with others in the field in 2013 Solar workshop Groove supports to participate in the international trade fairs Market studies and reviews related to renewable energy and other interesting markets Guides and training packages, e.g. internationalisation and new market access Groove organises meetings and networking trips in other attractive market sectors Organises meetings with local decision makers and business leaders
