1 Sahasik 2019 It is a National Level B-Plan competition. The objective of this competition is to recognize and encourage budding entrepreneurs who have the potential to innovate and create value for the society. Sahasik gives you a platform to showcase your idea and bring it to life. If you have an innovative idea and an unwavering passion to succeed, participate and prove your mettle in Sahasik s battleground. The business plan should be developed keeping in mind that the idea is original, innovative and sustainable. The ideas can be from any sector like Banking, IT&ITES, Retail, Hospitality, E-commerce, Insurance, FMCG, Health Care, Tourism, Transportation, Digital Media, Bio-Technology Green Technology, Agri-Business, Fashion Tech etc. (The list is not exhaustive) The premise behind Sahasik is to let you think and act without any boundaries!

2 GUIDELINES 1. Participants can participate in a team consisting of 2-4 members from the same campus 2. Teams may be formed by students in the first year, or second year or a mix of both 3. There is no restriction on the number of teams that can participate from an institute however, one person cannot be a part of more than one team 4. Start-ups which are more than 2 years old or have had rounds of funding from Venture Capitalists or Angel Investors are not eligible 5. The decision of the organizers and the panel of judges will be final and binding upon all the participants 6. The name of your institute/organization should not appear anywhere in the body/content of the Business Plan 7. Participating teams are expected to submit original ideas. Plagiarized or copied ideas will be disqualified 8. Teams should always use their registered team name for any future Correspondence Teams are required to register themselves through an online form

3 Stages of the Competition Round I: Registration & PowerPoint Presentation/Video Submission Submission Format: Teams can either submit a presentation or video explaining their business idea. The format of files allowed for submission are.ppt,.pptx,.mp4 The evaluation in first round will be based on the following i. Business Summary ii. Customer needs/problems iii. Macro environment Analysis iv. Business Model v. Value proposition, Distinctive Competence vi. Financial projections vii. Marketing/ Sales Strategy viii. Competition scenario ix. Investment Potential PowerPoint Presentation Teams are required to send their submissions in the specified format via only. All the entries are to be sent to ecell@nmims.edu.in with subject line as: Sahasik 19_TeamName The presentation of the business plan should not be more than 10 slides excluding the cover page and the annexure and the naming convention should be Sahasik 19_TeamName Format details: Times New Roman, 12 point, 1.5- line spacing, 1 margins all around.

4 Video Submission The video should not exceed 3 minutes and size should not be more than 50 MB. The naming convention for Video submission of business plan should be Sahasik 19_TeamName You can change your captured video to.mp4 format through this link - You can minimise the.mp4 video size through this link - Round 2: National Finale Round The top 10 shortlisted Teams will be asked for the complete business plan. The team would be required to send Comprehensive Business Plan not exceeding 10 slides, excluding exhibits & references of maximum 5 pages Apart from elaborating on the above-mentioned parameters, the complete business plan should include: Elevator Pitch Mission & Vision Statement Capital & Application of Funds Risk & Gaps Organizational Road Map i. Detailed Business Plan should be in a PPT format containing a maximum of 10 slides All entries should be mailed to ecell@nmims.edu.in with the Subject line as Sahasik 19_TeamName Teams will be invited to present at the campus of School of Business Management, NMIMS in front of Industry Experts and renowned Venture Capitalists The final event will be conducted on campus at SBM NMIMS, ii. iii. iv.

5 Mumbai and it will be a closed house event with just the finalists, the organizing committee and the judges present during the finale v. Presentation Format would be specified to the finalists after the results of the first round are announced vi. The criteria for selection will be based on the practicality of the idea and the research gone into making the business plan. The teams will pitch their idea to our esteemed panel of judges Timelines Last Date to Register and submit PowerPoint Presentation/Video 29th December 2018 First shortlist for final round 1st January 2019 Submission of PPT for Business Plan 6th January 2019 Final Campus Round 6th January 2019 Prizes Prizes worth - 20,000 cash and exciting goodies/vouchers Including facilities to register and legally protect your start-up Incubation facility, Mentoring from Venture Capitalists Certificates will be provided to all the teams presenting at campus round.
