Oklahoma s improvement throughout the season was evident, as the squad recorded a 10-3 mark after the holiday break, including wins over then-no.5 Missouri, then-no. 19 Arizona State and then-no. 18 Northern Iowa on the road. u Four Sooners appear in the latest InterMat polls, including No. 13 Davion Jeffries (149 pounds), No. 12 Clark Glass (157 pounds), No. 13 Yoanse Mejias (165 pounds) and No. 18 Ross Larson (285 pounds). u The Sooners are coming off a dominating 29-7 win over Oregon State in the regular-season finale on Feb. 17, inside McCasland Field House. Oklahoma owned eight bout wins, including three by bonus points. u Oklahoma returns four NCAA qualifiers from a season ago in sophomore Davion Jeffries (149 pounds), redshirt senior Clark Glass (157 pounds), redshirt senior Matt Reed (174 pounds) and redshirt senior Ross Larson (285 pounds). The appearance was the first for Jeffries, the second for Glass and Reed and the third for Larson.

3 HEAD COACH LOU ROSSELLI Lou Rosselli is in his first season as head coach at the University of Oklahoma. Spent 10 season as an assistant and associate head coach on the Ohio State staff that led the Buckeyes to a 2015 national championship and two NCAA runner-up finishes Has served as the U.S. Olympic Freestyle Team s volunteer coach for both the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and the 2012 London Games Three-time U.S. Freestyle World Team coach Named the 2009 National Wrestling Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year and the 2014 USA Wrestling Freestyle Coach of the Year In 2015, Rosselli was named to the USA Wrestling coaching staff for the World Championships, and he has coached many other world and national teams for USA Wrestling. Rosselli competed at pounds on the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team and earned gold at the 1997 World Cup. He was also a University National Freestyle Champion in 1994 and captured U.S. National Freestyle titles in 1995, 1996 and 1999 OU ASSISTANT COACHES LARSON LOOKING FOR CAREER PIN RECORD Redshirt senior Ross Larson recorded his 53rd career pin on Feb. 10 against Wyoming with a win by fall in 1:43 seconds over Brandon Tribble. Larson, who leads all current Division I wrestlers in career pins, has registered 65 percent of his career wins by fall. The Ankeny, Iowa, native needs six more pins this seaon to break the current OU career record of 58, set by Dan Chaid. SOONERS TAKE SECOND AT VIRGINIA DUALS The Sooners went 3-1 at the Virginia Duals, downing Old Dominion, UT Chattanooga and No. 19 Arizona State before falling to No. 5 Virginia Tech in the championship dual. Mike Longo (141 pounds) went undefeated for the Sooners, tallying two wins by major decision in the tournament. r NEW YEAR, NEW LONGO Junior Mike Longo has won 11 of his last 13 bouts, dating back to Jan. 8 against Missouri. The Corona, Calif., native has recorded six bonus-point victories over that stretch, inlcuding two technical falls and four major decision victories. Longo is currently 6-3 against Big 12 compeition. GLASS DROPS TO 157 POUNDS Clark Glass, a two-time NCAA Championships qualifer at 165 pounds, made the drop to 157 pounds beginning at the Virginia Duals. Since the change in class, Glass has secured an 9-1 mark, including a 5-4 decision over then-no. 14 Sal Mastriana of Virginia Tech. Of those nine wins, three have come by technical fall and one by major decision. WRESTLER OF THE WEEK HONORS Three Sooners have earned Big 12 Wrestler of the Week honors this season, including redshirt senior 157-pounder Clark Glass (Dec. 5), redshirt freshman 125-pounder Christian Moody (Jan. 9), and junior 165-pounder Yoanse Mejias (Feb. 6). SIX SOONERS NAMED ACADEMIC ALL-BIG 12 Senior Stone Drulman, redshirt senior Clark Glass, redshirt senior Brad Johnson, redshirt senior Ross Larson, redshirt freshman Christian Moody and senior Jon Wayne Townsend were all named to the 42-member first team. The recognition marked the fourth for Glass, who has been named to the first team all four years of competition.
