2 238 INDIVIDUAL RECORDS Photo courtesy of Hunter Sports Information Individual Records Official NCAA softball records began with the 1982 season and are based on information submitted to the NCAA statistics service by institutions participating in the statistics rankings. Official career records of players include only those years in which they competed in Division III. Annual individual champions in runs, bases on balls, toughest to strike out, slugging percentage and saves were added in 1990, along with annual team champions in home runs, triples, doubles, stolen bases, slugging percentage and double plays. In statistical rankings, the rounding of percentages and/or averages may indicate ties where none exist. In these cases, the numerical order of the rankings is accurate.
