If you re travelling from the west, the Sligo train line passes through to Dublin via Collooney, Ballymote, Boyle, Carrick-on-Shannon, Dromod, Longford, Edgeworthstown, Mullingar, Enfield and Kilcock.

Car There are approximately 1400 parking spaces on campus and is situated just 25km from Dublin city centre. Take junction 7 (signposted / Straffan/Naas) off the M4 and follow the signs to.

4 Cycling, Car-ooling & Driving to Train to Irish Rail lies on the Western Commuter Line which serves the four Dublin city centre stations (earse Station, Tara Street Station, Connolly Station and Docklands) as well as twelve other suburban stations (Drumcondra, Broombridge, Ashtown, Navan Road arkway, Castleknock, Coolmine, Clonsilla, Hansfield, Dunboyne, M3 arkway, Leixlip Confey and Leixlip Louisa Bridge). Lots of our students and staff take the train every day and the cheaper Leap Card fares mean that a weekly return ticket from earse Station to costs approximately 30. The Leap Card is a pay-as-you go smart card which saves money versus cash fares on journeys across the city and country. A designated permit parking system operates on the campus. Cycling Cycling can prove a cost-effective and fun way of commuting to and lots of our students commute this way. Bicycle racks are provided in key locations around the campus. Car-pooling Car-pooling is arranged between students and can offer a range of financial and other benefits to those who participate in it. The University has set up a facility within the national car sharing campaign ( to enable staff and students to avail of these benefits. 6 7
