[Honolulu Advertiser 4 October Pang, James Jimmy, of Kaneohe, a hiking enthusiast who enjoyed seeking and finding rare native plants, died Sept. 27 at his home. Pang, 74, was one of the frist hikers to climb up and over Sacred Falls. He also enjoyed hunting for rare bottles and diving for sea shells in his younger days. A former Hawaiian Electric Company supervisor, who retired after more than 40 years of service, he was born in Honolulu.
