6 Court Services A Drug Court sentence costs over $10,000 less than a prison sentence. Drug Court is 72% to 80% less than the daily cost of other traditional sentencing options for drug offenders. 7 Accountability Courts Outcomes Gwinnett Drug Court Graduates, 17 Drug Free Babies Born, 91% Employment Rate, Retention Rate- 79.7%, Recidivism Rates Life of Program- 28.1%, 2013 UDS Results- 115 positives out of 10,151 screens- 1.1% Gwinnett DUI Court Graduates, 7 Drug Free Babies Born, 96% Employment Rate, Retention Rate- 89.9%, Recidivism Rates Life of Program- 24.6%, 2013 UDS Results- 51 positives out of 11,071 screens- 0.46%, Spanish Speaking Group also Gwinnett Mental Health Court 1 Graduate 5

8 Gwinnett Re-Entry Intervention Program Gwinnett Reentry Intervention Program (GRIP) is a collaboration between the Gwinnett County Sheriff s Department and United Way in an effort to reduce the number of incarcerated individuals returning to jails or prisons. GRIP Services include: Transitional Housing and Case Management Connection to mental and primary health services Employment assistance services Screening and application for benefits (SSI/SSDI, Food stamps) Financial Literacy courses View Point Health Re-Entry Supported Employment 100% of clients are in stable housing 95% of clients have not been hospitalized in past 90 days 90% of clients have remained in community and have not been incarcerated in past 90 days 43% of clients are gainfully employed with competitive jobs 6

11 Gwinnett Coordinated Transportation Program Services are available to individuals who are associated with Gwinnett Senior Services Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Department of Family and Children Services Hi Hope, Inc. Creative Enterprises, Inc. View Point Health View Point Health is the contractor through the Department of Human Services to provide transportation. 375 Round Trips provided daily 72% for individuals with Developmental Disabilities 9

12 Bridgeway Village - Lawrenceville, GA 31-unit residential development on Lakes Parkway Permanent Supportive Housing Program loan administered by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs (DCA) View Point Health provides supportive services, independent living skills training, behavioral health & medical services, developmental disability services, vocational services, etc 10
