GROVE CITY HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS PARENT HANDBOOK 2018-2019 Rev. 5/27/2018

GROVE CITY HIGH SCHOOL BAND BOOSTERS P.O. BOX 403 GROVE CITY, OHIO 43123 May, 2018 Dear Band Parent: Congratulations on the success of your student becoming a member of the Grove City High School Band. By participating in the band program at Grove City High School, your student will become involved with one of the finest high school music education programs offered anywhere and will be a part of one of the most award-winning band programs in the nation. The band maintains a high level of achievement through hard work on the part of the students, the leadership of the directors and staff, and the support of the band booster organization. The Grove City Band Boosters is a non-profit organization; its purpose is to provide support to this outstanding program. As president of the Grove City Band Boosters, I urge you to become an active member of the band program by joining the band boosters; the boosters are a very active group. It is also a fun group to be a part of and a way to make new lifelong friends. The boosters work year-round to meet the needs of the band program. To assure the success of the upcoming year we need your support. Chaperoning, medical support, uniforms, transportation and logistics, concessions, and many various types of fundraisers are some examples of what band boosters can do to help support the band. Please take the time over the next few months to become involved and learn as much as possible about the boosters, and do not be afraid to volunteer your services. I assure you that once you see what these students can accomplish, you will agree that your time has been well spent. Again, welcome to the program, and I am looking forward to meeting and working with each of you. Sincerely, Bob Long Bob Long, President Grove City High School Band Boosters 2
