Academic Leadership & Administrative Experience Established the first Academic department of Endocrine Surgery in India at SGPGI, in 1989 and launched exclusive surgical service for endocrine surgical disorders for the first time in the country. Introduced curriculum based endocrine surgery training programme Post Doctoral Certificate Course in 2006 followed by M.Ch. course in 2004 for the first time in the country Introduced research programme in the field of endocrine surgery with laboratory component for the first time in the country Instrumental in starting Telemedicine programme at SGPGI in the year 1999, the first such initiative in any medical institution in the country. Developed telemedicine resource facilities with funding support from external agencies. Established School of Telemedicine & Biomedical Informatics at SGPGI, in 2006 with funding support from Govt. of U.P. which was later recognized as National Resource Center by the Dept. of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication & IT, Govt. of India in 2007.
