NGO Resource Center organized Capacity Building Training Proposal Writing Workshop 13 th December 2013 at Karve Institute of Social Service Background It s a unique workshop organized by NGO Resource Center. Tech Mahindra Foundation is inviting proposals for new projects, for giving NGO s clear idea of expectations from funding organization we have organized this workshop. This workshop has specially organized for Project Directors, Programme managers, NGO heads. Upper machinery of NGO s was invited and present for this workshop. Proposal Writing Workshop Proposal writing is one of the important but at the same time very crucial to write, because of this nightmare many ngo s don t propose projects though it have innovative concept to implement. It was one of the most generated needs through NGO s. So NGO Resource center thought to keep this workshop preferably. Aim of Training To demonstrate participants actual proposal writing and give confidence to form proposal at their own. Objectives: By the end of the workshop participants will be able to 1. Participants Profile Participants were Programme director, Programme manager, CEO of the NGO, senior social worker who is active in this field more than 5 years. Total 30 participants were attended training. Plan of Workshop NGO Resource Center of Karve Institute of Social Service supported by Tech Mahindra has Full day workshop organized. Exercise method used in throughout the workshop. 1 st half workshop 30 participants are divided in 5 groups and given task to form and present objectives and indicators. In 2 nd half, according to formed objectives and indicators planning of activity outcome. Mr. Vijay Wavare Assistant manager of TechMahindra Foundation explained as a funding agency what they expect from agency and how to formulate budget in detail. Methodology used Exercises in group, discussion and presentation are used in workshop. Broad topics Covered Formulation of Objectives Generating indicators : activity Indicators, monitoring indicators, evaluating indicators Realistic formation of Budget
